Subject description: Inspired by GLA concept art

Vehicle Series: 1 of 3.

I was mostly interested in the modelling aspect of this vehicle project, I used a 1985 Chevrolet CK pickup truck has the base for my technical.

This was loosely based on GLA technical concept art, especially the paint scheme and the battering ram. Other than that it lacks anything that would distinguish it has a GLA unit, indeed it is quite rare from the images that I have seen, for a technical not to have a number of markings.

If I was going to use this, I would definitely add some side markings. I would also add a gunner, obviously!

The paint scheme can be easily changed to allow for multiple variants to be churned out.

I started to use a shader package from Chronosheep  ( http://www.moddb.com/mods/chronoshaders )that fixes a number of issues that EA's default shaders have. I am still getting used to the shader, hopefully I will master it in time for the next vehicle project.

Finally I decided that a vehicle this size definitely does not need a 512 texture, so I would reduce the texture size from 512 to 256 for this vehicle.
