Hey guys, I want to know if it is possible to have a palette that is made for terrain only. The current palette I have shares with units, buildings, terrain and environment (trees, etc) I want to make it isolate from units and building, so that mean the new palette will be only just for terrain tiles + trees.

That is not possible. They'll always do that until Ares (if ever) unlocks that.
Terrain tiles (eg grass tiles etc) already use a different palette, IIRC that's isodes.pal for example.
Object types have the same palette, so no dividing in that.

The terrain already uses it's own theater specific pal files that are separate from the one used by units & building :/

I see, not possible. Ares should make terrain-only palette a feature for 0.6. There are many terrain that I want to add and create a different set of theater, but can't do without isolating the terrain because I don't want to mess around with the palette that shares with unit and buildings. Did it once and didn't went so good.

Eh, there is already terrain specific palette...see isotem,isodes,isosno (for snow) etc...

Ares 0.6 is almost a RC, it will not be included in there.
Besides that I don't see much light for this at the end of the tunnel.

Like ApolloTD said already (and as I have already pointed out), terrain and objects are already separated.
Terrain = anything in the terrain control file.
Palette: ISO<theater>.PAL
Objects = anything in rulesmd and art (unless AltPalette=yes)
Palette: UNIT<theater>.PAL

EDIT: Or are you talking about tileset specific palettes?
EDIT2: Are you talking about terrain objects from the rules [TerrainTypes], or actual tilesets?
