the gdi dropship doesnt land - at all - it just circles and the targeting laser which defines where it wants to go keeps circling erratically... loco-motor error or just a general F up error? lol

also-

the height and the position of the barrel is quite wrong, i dont want the titan barrel to the side of the unit and above it and i dont want my other units barrel pointing up - id want it directly through the middle - is there anyway to solve that issue or do i have to make my own long-ish barrel? would be nice to know since im trying to make a new turret all together too Smile

AircraftType transports don't work properly in TS. They were broken after a certain patch, can't remember which one. It wouldn't have took long to find this information somewhere else on the forum.

As far as I know, Hyper does look for a fix. Dunno if he could find anything, though

as for your comment on the whole search forums - I did do a search on this forum specifically using the search engine you have and I used google - think of this thread as a "last resort" if i couldn't find the solution.

Furthermore it doesnt just effect me when i use the dropship it also effects what happens when the AI use it, for example the ship mission where you send an engineer into the ship and blow up the train locomotive  and cargo to retrieve the tacitus has their mcv dropship shaking about whilst circling the DZ. the specifics of my issue couldn't be found, I used a completely new game folder and ONLY changed prices of various units and the problem persisted, even when i made no changes to the dropship entry itself. - as for wanting to use an airborne transport making an APC have 10 passengers and using a carry-all does the trick nicely.

im going to be attaching a file for an except notepad, if anyone is able to help Smile , the intervals of each and the issue with the game crashing (the reasons for it) are inconsistent the only consistent unit that seems to always be involved is the assault bike.

other than the fact that all other aspects ive added to the game work perfectly - such as a cloaked refinery - the advanced comm tower from dawn to replace the ion cannon and comm tower as a whole etc etc - the randomness of this issue baffles me. or being taught how to read would be cool Smile

one thing is for sure however - that twisted insurrection mod - I will never be able to match that kind of modding - lol

btw - whats with the title "vehicle thief" .. how'd you guys know I hotwire? "lol"

Good news. It seems hyper patch 0.3 apparently fixes the air transport bug.

Also the search system here is rubbish. It is when ever i use it anyway.

i did read those - im not trying to make an air transport - i didnt even make it a unit - even the "vanilla" version has the mcv drop on the alien ship go all buggy - GDI dont make a base and i can just sit in the middle next to the ship all day long. or at least until they escort the tacitus away. only way i got myself a dropship was on that fs mission where you save the civilians - the dropship suddenly became mine and i could order it to go places.

any word on the except file? not even sure what makes the issue happen.


theres another thread by me in the tibsun forums... "new query" last post - last i looked by me. id like that one deleted Smile please - served its purpose Smile

Hmmm....have you tried the new version(0.3) of HyperPatch,that (if you know) fixed the aircraft transport bug?If the aircraft transport bug is you problem,then,you can try the new HyperPatch version.

ill use hyper patch and re do the whole thing Smile -

i only changed a few things around and added a new unit - already had the codes etc done - didnt take long - problem with the crashes still exist with or without hyper patch -

however the hyper patch does make adding new buildings easier. buildings would crash out the game before - doesnt anymore. you guys can have a look at my severely messed up rules file with op units if you wish.
