Hello there!

Quick question today:
Is it possible to change the yellow font color on the menus to something else? I know it's possible to change the buttons and the font itself but I can't seem to find the color settings for it.

I don't think it's possible without a third party patch. I think that is preset in the game.

Did pd's font editor allow color changing? I can't honestly remember if it did or not.

It didn't.

The color is hardcoded into executable. Current development version of Ares allows changing this along with several other hardcoded menu element colors. Said feature will most likely be in 0.2 once it's released.
