Anime related talk
Subject description: All things Anime go here! :)
So I've been wondering what people's opinions on sao were... Because I know for a fact that there happen I be a lot of people that have a deep hatred towards it. So, long sort short, just post your opinion below! Last edited by gistop on Sat Jul 05, 2014 7:42 am; edited 2 times in total QUICK_EDIT
Lets say: I really liked the first half, though I don't like it for the fact that is actually too short There are way too many time skips. One episode later can mean several months have already passed (between the arcs).
I do like the setting and the MC in general, though.
The second part somewhat looses its charm. IMO the focus wasn't that exiting anymore - I would have prefered to have a slightly different focus. The whole plot became quite dubious, too. It just seems like the author wanted to push Drama to make it more exiting. Oh well, tastes are different I guess.
Give it a chance, though. It's still one of my more favoured Animes _________________

Too busy lately to watch anime. And I dunno what kind of anime it is
gzy got sucked into a virtual game. He can't leave anymore.
When someone dies in the game, they die in the real world, too.
Only way to escape: beating the game.

GGO is the sequel to SAO, part of me wants to kind of punch Kirito/Kazuto(whatever you wanna call him) because he keeps on going into MMOs that he could die in QUICK_EDIT

meh came to the conslusion that most of manga and anime is bullshit.
been watching Berserk just to find out that its over 20 years old and still not finished and ends in the middle of the story. now been reading the manga just to find out its not done either. 20 ****ing years!
got about 4 other manga and anime that I'm watching and they ain't finished either because of the artists taking a hiatus brake then ccome back and change the story drasticly because they're bored of it.
But the worst got to be Rumiko Takahashi with her endless filler episodes and in the end nothing.
apparently the true way to enjoy manga and anime is indeed to like the fanservice and not giving a damn. _________________ Free Tibed!

Maybe you need to open your library to older titles. A lot of recent anime trends are based on who throws the most money, and right now it's jerkoffs who like to jerk off.

ennnnnnnnnhh... I know I should watch the older titles, But me being going insane whenever something's fuzzy on the screen, makes me only watch newer titles... Anything new-ish is fine by me... Also: Started watching No Game No Life, and finished aria the scarlet ammo. QUICK_EDIT
I came to hate and ignore new anime installments, they're mostly too clean and soulless, those things only can be rescued by interresting writing and catchy design decisions, such as attack on titan. but all in all, anime is bland as ztype. i really prefer old titles and franchises which still have the charme factor, memorability and allround the gift of their time on them, i wonder when the first indie-anime producer will revert back to old production methods.

By your logic you should love Kill La Kill. If it wasn't your style then something's terribly wrong with you. :p If you haven't seen it yet, go do it. It was such a success that it's already being dubbed, not that anyone cares much about that anymore. _________________

Also, imho, dubbed is crap... I watched SAO dubbed first, and then re-watched it in japanese with subs, (I understand japanese(I am half-japanese(mom's side)) but some words idk)
Also, AG, Japanese rapping makes me want to die in laughter... It just sounds a bit too tryhard-y lol.

Yup... I just realized something... just about all of those have lolis in them... *slaps face*
EDIT: By that I mean have lolis throughout the entire show. (i.e. Black Bullet, Aria the Scarlet Ammo, Senyu, No game no life, and Girls und panzer.)

I'm personally more a fan of stuff like Hellsing, Black Lagoon, Fairy Tail, Claymore and Touhou (although I know the latter is not an anime ). QUICK_EDIT

The only ones on the above list that I have seen are SAO and AoT.
