I have created several maps which do not include sea for navy. I would like to remove the naval yard from the structures tab so players do not accidentally click it. Can someone please walk me through how to do this?

thanks very much,
Josh

It would be especially appreciated if someone could use the attached map to demonstrate this- thanks again

Smile

1. Open the map with notepad

2. Copy/paste the following
Code:

[NAYARD]
TechLevel=-1

[GAYARD]
TechLevel=-1

If it's for YR add
Code:

[YAYARD]
TechLevel=-1

as well

(Like this)

3. Save your map

I think that's it

Hey Josh, welcome to PPM, even though I'm certain this is going to be a short visit. Very Happy

Hey bugsey thank you very much for that- it worked. The xwis ra2 community will thank you too- I'm going to credit you in the update topic I'll post on our forum (unless you'd rather I not, of course).

Aro thanks for the welcome. Before posting I searched for a topic with this information, and while I didn't find it (possibly because I'm too noob to recognize the question posed technically) I did find many interesting topics and ideas for mapping techniques- next time I make a map I'll refer to this site for inspiration.
