So it just stops at the maps. I am currently not sure why. This happens every time.
I extracted the files from the zip to a folder on desktop called cnc.

I've got a few reports from other people when playing with them online, that they too had problems to update. And iirc they also had problems with some maps.

Though since i was able to successfully update on 2 different PCs, i'm not sure what could be the reason.

Maybe it's because of people using some bad windows system folders or the desktop as their install place. (the UAC and other windows crap could kick in and deny file access)
I always use a separate partition for any programs (including DTA) and had no problems.

The user has full access to its desktop, so UAC wouldn't prevent updating there.

In Win7, there is a chance that even disabled UAC does interfere with that. I had a habit of saving temporary files to a subfolder of the desktop (basically chopping a recording into individual lines with Audacity) and 1 out of 5-8 instances I got an error that I don't have write-access to the directory. Retrying always worked tho.

Apparently a lot of files were missing from PPM's update location (they must've somehow disappeared when DTA and TI were transferred to different accounts at PPM); the update worked perfectly fine with SAGE Fans selected as the primary server.

I just uploaded all missing files to PPM's update location and verified that updating from version 1.1268 to 1.1294 works perfectly fine now.

Like I mentioned in my last post, all all missing files have already been uploaded to the server and I've just confirmed again that updating and even installing from scratch works perfectly fine.

In other words, if you still can't update via the client right now, the problem must be on your end. If you can't fix it, you can instead download the full package of version 1.1294.
