Subject description: Expanding SHP Resources for YR

Unfortunately, I haven't found the process intuitive enough for me to understand on my own and nor have I found any tutorials explaining what I have to do. So far, I have taken .W3D files (and their textures) and looking at what path I need to take in order to have them function in Red Alert 2.

You need
1.Big Editor for extract w3d files and textures.
2.3DS Max 8 And W3D Import Plugin
3.After import render for red alert 2 (I'm doing this process in blender with DonutArnold Template)
4.Convert your rendered png files to shp
5.Coding

No,doesnt matter.Plugin work with max 9.

the most important part is proper lighting.
*cough* LKO did teach me a lot but he is always picky with my lighting settings, even when I modified my lighting close to the boxes westwood hides in the mix files.

you can find my old toolkit here. The templates are old but surly the scripts in there can help you a lot......if you setup your own template like this: all lights and camera are linked to the dummy object.

Wanted to give a thanks to everyone involved in helping me out.

That being said, I was wondering is it possible to use Blender alone to make new SHPs for RA2?

Blender is all you need to create a convertable PNG sequence and then you'd need SHP Builder to convert the .PNG sequence to a .SHP file.
