Almost all walker designs for C&C are clunky walkers in the tradition set by the Wolverine and Titan. Has anyone made a more 'elegant' mecha design, more in the tradition of Gundam and similar shows, in which mecha are by custom airborne?

I would love a design like the one made by Orac, to the right in the picture:

Unfortunately, he has only made the land-walker design public.
If anyone has done, or knows of, such or a similar design, please share with me.

I know there's a Tengu in the community - unfortunately, the ground form is not animated and the air form has no mecha aspects, really. I would prefer a constantly-flying mech that is clearly a mech, or, if transformable, a mech that can actually function as a true mech-like unit when on the ground.
I can work around the lack of vehicle2vehicle deploy functionality, or wait for Ares to fix it. A transformer who's only mech aspect is an immobile ground version is unfortunately not within my intended design, so I am unable to use that Tengu design. ._. Gomen~

Edit: Of course, in-air models don't have to be animated (unless it has a rotor, but I don't think mech models with helicopter rotors are very common).

You could try checking in Civ 3 forums. IIRC they have plenty of Gundam's and other more humanoid mecha designs there as well.
