[#include] not working?

I added the [#include] section at the end of rulesmd.ini which looks like:

[#include]
1=rules_change.ini

But however I edit the rules_change.ini nothing changes in game. what have i done wrong? Many thanks!

Did you leave an empty line at the end, or is 1=rules_change.ini the last line? If so, try adding an empty line at the end.

Since the earliest C&C games it has been like that. The parser only interpretes lines that end with a new line character. If the end of the file is encountered, the parsing stops. Thus, if the last line is not ended with a new line character, it is never parsed.
