Hello, guys...

I'm about to make AI that Engineer will guard their base, waiting for their base damaged and repaired it....

But i don't know how to do it.. Any explanation would be nice.. Smile

Have you tired making a team with orders to "attack" the buildings you want repaired with OnlyTargetHouseEnemy=no? That is my only gess on how it could be done.

I am just talking without looking at .ini's......
How about how the medic can area guard and function?

I am a noob.
But a noob for over 17 years(c&c, red alert 1, ect).

First rule as always, what else does what you are trying to accomplish?
If it is done in the game before, you can too.

Did you try "guard area" in AI?
I will try to do this also to help....

Area guard works (script 11,11) with AI engineers to repair the buildings. But it needs several conditions,
like building should be in condition red, engineers should be in range and reachable. AI self repair might
also affect it.

Condition example: When AI building attacked by either yourself or AI's Enemy, Engineer will repair it quickly

The self repair is already fast in vanilla and better than the engineer method.

Can raise ConditionRed value, make AI engineers have more range and speed. Might have to disable wall
for buildings. Even then it may not be effective as the self repair may make it undamaged (self repair can
be delayed with RepairDelay) or the building might be destroyed before the engineer reaches. And chances
are that the AI trigger might not even fire to produce the team.

No need to do anything, just build an engineer, move it near a building like the spysat/radar building, and guard.

The AI will recruit stray engineers to help.
