Nice model, but without detracting from the snazzy design, this is hopelessly large and terribly un-aerodynamic. You'd need like 300000hp to push it through the water.

If this was about 2/3 the size and perhaps thinner, this would be a winner Smile

You know you can just scale it yourself fairly quick if size is your only issue.  Rolling Eyes

Be enough 2 turbines 75000hp-100000hp and 2 nuclear reactor .

You don't need to worry about aerodynamics in a water-environment. Smile

Hydrodynamics is different as there is much more force at work to spread out the weight so in general it takes less effort. A Submarine would usually be using a nuclear engine so it would have much greater power to use on its propulsion.

Looks nice, maybe it needs a slice off the bottem because it looks like its sitting really high in the water for a submarine.

Maybe its just the way RA2 looks, been a while.

It looks plenty hydrodynamic to me. Anyway, artists frequently take liberties with realism because without doing that there probably wouldn't be much creativity, which would be boring. Besides that, if artists actually did make realistic designs then they would be scientists and would receive much more massive amounts of money for their designs.

My only concern with this one is why is there checkerboard dithering on it? I hate dithering, especially ordered dithering. Plus, why is dithering necessary with this VXL colour palette when it has 32 shades of gray, plus another 16 shades of a slightly blue-tinted grey.
