Before anyone says anything about it looking unbalanced, go look up leopard 2 bridge on google. There you go. Your argument is now invalid.

ALSO: It's probably not going to be a bridge tank because in YR (even with Ares I think) It's impossible to create new terrain... (i.e. a bridge that extends from this.)

idk, as I said in the previous post, it's supposed to be a  bridging tank (i.e. one that bridges across streams, trenches, etc.) But I was thinking of making it a massive missile launcher #Tongue

hehe. Also, I was reading about the Deathcount logic in Ares, and I was wondering whether it was possible to do this:

Have a shield generator that spawns a shield (it would be a unit)
Have the shield have about 1000hp
Have DeathWeapon set to another unit that dies over the course of 10 seconds. (i.e. an invisible unit that has 100 hp and a DeathCount of 10 with a delay of 5)
Have that unit's deathweapon set to spawn the shield again.

And then I'm assuming I could probably find a way to finally delete the shield upon loss of the building.

Only because it's on github doesn't mean it's in Ares. That's one of the places where requests go. Ares has its documentation elsewhere.

And you can already get timed units by using AttachEffect.

Ah, I see... it was on the wiki section I think... but whatever, I feel dumb as ztype right now.

Also, I want it to be like the SupCom shields. How they will slowly block all incoming projectiles (the projectiles actually hit the shield,) but have a health bar of their own.

EDIT: yeah, it was on the wiki, But that doesn't mean that it's implemented, correct?

ALSO: Just noticed that it was in fact assigned to Graion #Tongue

A lot of things have been done but removed at some point /not put in game/not documented (e.g. some unfinished stuff like the dropship - some changes have been done to the loadout screen but the dropship itself doesn't work.)

For all intents and purposes, this is still WIP. I thought I was done already but no definitely not. Not gonna work on it anymore today though, it's 2:07 am and I still got classes so yeah #Tongue.

In-game looks like shit:
(needs more texture... might try influenced autonormals as that usually helps.)

In HVA Builder: (looks decent, still needs work...)

Just a little question... what colors do people use? I personally (for allied) use 57 as edge color, 55 as gradient, and then 53 as the main color. Recently I've started to use 56 as screws. For tracks I use 61, 60, 59, and 58

ALSO: were polls just bugged out at some point? I set that poll that's up there to be up for 14 days, it's been up for ages

Here's a quick preview of the OMC Mamba Mk II APC that I'm making (It's a real thing, not just a really long name.)



EDIT: It's really just a practice voxel so if anyone wants it, it'll be up for download.
ANOTHER EDIT: This is probably abandoned now so when i release my folder It'll be in there.

It feels like it's been years since I've been here!
oh wait it has been... oops.
(lol)

So! a little update, since I haven't been here since I was a depressed little ztype.
I guess the first thing to say is for some reason I can't install Yuri's Revenge on my laptop, it's got an i7, gtx940M and windows 10, so a lot of potential work I could be doing on mods and such is impossible. I have tried multiple methods but I think I might try more right after this post.
Secondly, I now am in a relationship (YAY!) so I have far less time than I used to, meaning I get way less done now.
Thirdly, I don't think anyone knows who I am anymore (lol) so I might try to get back into this thing, probably actually make a mod because C4D is fun to use. Anyways, Glad to be back!

My understanding is that you can't install RA2/YR on Win10 because it dosen't have safedisc/securom.

To get RA2 or YR on Win10 you need RA2/YR on Win10 you need RA2/YR files from another PC and have craked  RA2/YR .exes and other things to get the game to run right.

Cracking ain't necessary if you use Ares. The XWIS installers also have everything for a mod to work.

I got RA2/YR to install in Windows 10.

Was a bit annoying though as you ended up in a black screen and you only had a split second to see where your cursor is at the moment you alt-tabbed.

I run RA2/YR on Win10 just fine, I wish -noCD or cracks worked but.. currently running an image of a YR disc to get the game actually running Sad
