As I see this topic transformed from a modmaking discussion to a f**king troll s**t! I see very much of troll shit, much than author's posts with his work and advices of another people on how to do this or that. If ya wanna post troll sh*t then go create another topic. I welcomed constructive advice and suggestions, I decided to ignore the bashers that were trying to deliberately and explicitely scrap and destroy the project. And that was after attempting to reason and debate and just ask them to at least be polite or leave. Alas, they didn't, so I don't recognize their presence.

As they say "haters gonna hate".

Anyways, it's... UPDATE TIME!
("No, goofy, no!" (?))



New in this versioN:

- All Hail the Super Reactor!
If it doesn't look exactly as you remember, it's because this comes from RA3 BETA.
- It does the same when destroyed and has the same functionality.

- All Soviet Reactor animations done (6 total), half implemented.

- Sickle is functional now
- in both guns and the infamous Flea Jump!

- Tesla Trooper can deploy, EMP weapon works the same way as in RA3, but it does minimal damage over time (long, long time).

- Natasha exists and works! Soon to be added swim functionality.

- Next Planned Buildings: Soviet War Factory, Soviet Construction Yard

- Next Planned Units: Flak Trooper (complete with magnetic mines use!), Empire Burst Drone, Guardian Tank, Apocalypse (Half-Done), Hammer Tank (yes, there is a way this works, hoho Wink )

Further Developments:

- Have figured out how to recreate Soviet RA3 build system, most approximate way possible.

- Also, Near-Full exact Empire tech upgrade on buildings! (Working exact, but upgrade must be purchased on buildings tag)

- Now usable "Air Superiority" bonus for allies (Superweapon uses AttachEffect to some increase of Speed, ROF and Firepower of Aircraft, in case you wondered, ho ho)

The RA2 render template, as constructed by Donut Arnold.

Import the 3D models from RA3 and render them.  This will give a much crisper, more correctly aligned/perspectived output to work with.

Yes, of course, Nuclear Power Plant in perspective looks askew. Grinder Tank looks bad, edit its textures. But your work is very good. I'm waiting for an update. Smile

Not really... civilian buildings etc. of RA3 are terrible, as I said. Also there is trees, creatures, doodads etc., terrain tiles I won't have such an ambitious project as to replace EVERYTHING, seeing as you made sure I get little help as of now, it would be out of reach.
New buildings have to be able to fit in with RA2 assets for reference.
Also the contrast and "sharpness" will not fit. Include it if you will, look:



See? On itself it looks quite nice... but overall, and even while I rezised it, it doesn't fit with the visual style of the game. It's too "fluid",
perhaps with heavy photo and .shp editing it can be used though...


What the hell are Protoss Zealots doing there? Very Happy (They're on down-left corner of screen)

I have had not a lot of time to make new previews, and now I have to go, but there is a lot of progress in the mod.

Here is a fully fuctional Athena Cannon.
It has both the delayed laser mark for satellite beam, and the Force-Field function.

Take in account that, while impressive, this is not the last graphical version. It has been adjusted to fit more the original RA3 colors of the attack later, make the laser pointing constant, etc.

I think he's doing quite well so far, actually. Sure, he's a bit argumentative, but from a bystanders point of view? The entire argument and bashing session is just a wee bit retarded. Okay, maybe a little more retarded than that, but you get the point. Bickering only makes an ass out of you AND me, if you've ever heard the saying.

Also, I can't help but for some reason laughing at Kenosis's posts. No real rebuttals, but many, many "ztype you"s haha.

Few days ago I learned that this board has actual moderation. Even so some moderators posted in here but instead of doing their moderator job they post pictures of pokemon.

Seeing all this the entire moderation staff should be stripped of their moderation rights and banshee should hand out bans to everyone he finds deserving it as well as locking threads that go into the abyss.

Step 1 - Download 3D Manipulation Program
Step 2 - Extract RA3 Models/Recreate RA3 Infantry Models
Step 3 - Rig Models
Step 4 - Animate Model

Step 6 - Convert Animations to SHP
Step 7 - Profit.

use bibber's C&C BIG EXTRACTOR and extract every file from static_common.big (or whatever the file name is) and use the latest version of ASSET EXTRACTOR, extract the sources of the texture, W3D Animation, W3D Collision Box, W3D Container, W3D Hierarchy and W3D Mesh.

Then use the "Katz's Make Skin program". Just drag and drop the whole folder, which contains the extracted source files, onto the makeskn.exe file which is located at, "\\makeskn\obj\Release". then using this W3x importer,  import the model to 3d Studio max 9. make sure you have RA3 MOD SDK installed.

only 3ds max 9 works, even 3ds max 2009 doesnt work
Also, you dont need the whole Mod SDK stuff, only the scripts and plugins from the SDK which i have attached to this post cuz installing the SDK requires that you have RA3 installed which is kinda stupid.
All you have to do is copy the contents of the zip file to the respective folders where 3ds max 9 is installed.

and i just told you what to do, which part do you not understand?
oh and you also need to install RA3, even if it doesnt work on your notebook cuz you need the static_common.big file

Yes..My internet connection is bad..If I download full version, it will take long time
to download..And, I think, RA3 R.I.P version is easy (and need short time) to download..

Despite all of this, you need some basic/advanced 3D animation knowledge to do this; And until you can efficiently do so, this is not an easy ripping job. And if you cannot run RA3 on basic settings, I highly doubt you would be able to do any kind of 3D modelling on that computer either.

I would just wait for Nemo to reply, or PM him. Whether or not he'll even give you the time of day, is debatable.
