Out of frustration ...

is there a specific requirement to add damage to animations.
Because my ignited and spreading treefires do not damage the trees anymore...i just stumbled upon this problem today - my treefires worked fine before.

None of the specified anims have scorch=yes set, they have all scorch=no.

- I just need to know your trusted way of adding damage to animations.
-Does it need an expire anim?

YR uses the Fire and Fire2 warheads for fire damage, so first make sure that those don't have any of their Verses= percentages set to 0%.

I don't know how YR species tree fire animations (TS simply has TreeFire= under [AudioVisual]), but if you do know, you can indeed just give the animation a Damage= value in artmd.ini. Mind that the damage is applied on every frame, so a value of 10 would be quite high (with a rate of 450, it'd then do 4500 damage per second).
This is why FIRE3 only has a damage value of .003 for example.

Animation damage doesn't work too well in YR, at least from what I recall. If my memory serves, it needs to be part of an animation sequence like the fire animations.

Forest fires, I think, don't work in YR either. Might be wrong on that though. May just require something specific to be added.
