How it would be like to live in a Nod society?
Kane win's, the war is pretty much over and you live in a Nod territory. How do think life would be, what kind of lifestyle would you be living? The technological advancements, political structure and so forth.Pretty much looking through the eyes of a neutral civilian going through the aftermath of the tiberium wars.
Resistance is futile, for those pro-GDI people.
I would actually enjoy such a lifestyle. Kane's Idealogly of achieving "divination" through tiberium as an advancement of humanity through generic tampering, goes in had with my current personal philosohpy of human advancement. Through mental and physical outlets. Most likely I would see myself accually joining the "Brotherhood" even achieveing a high ranking status
however I see the downsides, as Nod often uses civilians as test subjects. Although as now Nod has more resources to do so and probably the intent of creating genetic superiory. they would screen "voluteeners" to perfect the process of divination. rather than use, the weaker specimens of humanity for scientific value, but they would still need to so get rid of them through assimulation or eradication, yes horrible, but human nature must run its course.

Hrm, two things besides, getting sick and dying, a process of elimination. Exploding into a supermutant, Divine internvention.
Nod may be 'fascist', not the popular misdefinition of today's youth, mussolini coin the term meaning "bundle" as in the lower castes formed together in power to overthrow the social elite to take control.
Nod also uses alot of end times references, in their propoganda, since its bibically infulence, anyone play renegade, and stumble accross the temple museum?. -ponders-

Kane would so kill Big Brother! Although INGSOC is actually a very successful example of a secular police state the only one... , however I dont think Nod would go that far to repress its beautiful people.

That would be an awesome idea!
And we could dump Eurasia and East Asia in there too...
I don't think Big Brother was actually around at that time, as his fellow revolutionaries had generally died out by then, mostly vaporized, but they would have been old and most likely dead bt then anyway. _________________ Tiberian Station

actually, big brother cant die unless ingsoc does, as well as the "brotherhood".
That would be an interesting TC for Ra2, its just perfert for that.
there's alot of room in what kinds of technology ingsoc,eurasia and east asia all have. Although, i remember coming across a site that lists the small differences on all three of their idealogies. _________________ Delirium.. QUICK_EDIT

My guess was that Big Brother was real at one point, or was based off someone was real. The way they describe him reminds me of Stalin. And yes, he can't die in the minds of the people of Oceania, unless Ingsoc is overthrown.
I must find that site that compares the ideologies of Oceania, Eurasia, and EastAsia...
I wonder if Nod would if Nod would drug the civilians to keep the complacent like they did in Brave New World. IMO, that would make an interesting twist to a mission. _________________ Tiberian Station

I dont think Nod would favor communism. where privately owned things dont exist, the illusion of equality.
The Nod command structure seemed privately owned and was constantly competeing with each other for Kane's attention. although I see where your comming from. A highly organized pyramid social structure, valuing militaristic ideals and elitism. Where as the lower classes are given crap quality compared to the social elite. However I think Nod would want some of the 'proles' to rise up according to their standards. Unlike INGSOC, and other dictatorships, where as "indivduality" is bad, keeping them down and restrained.
They would want people to stick out, for their purposes. Say someone is a talented artist, musician,scientist,athletes ect, ect. They would want them to specialize in these skills, for a greater purpose yes. I doubt Nod would want to rule alot of unskilled stupid people for the sake of it..INGSOC... They want to redefine humanity through evolution, not destroy it, because these advancements wouldnt threaten their ideals, at any rate it would supplement their long term goals.
Edit: Drugging like the second Nod FS mission? I haven't seen a Brave New World. Mostly likely use force, than a 'diplomatic' approach. But drugging the whole population, would hinder progress. They want certian people to break through current technological aspects. In most societies one does not need to drug citizens, we are made to depend on the goverment by other means. _________________ Delirium.. QUICK_EDIT

I meant drugging as in to keep citizens happy. They call it "Soma" and it apparently has the effects of sleeping pills with halucinations.

Personally, I think Nod is most like Eastasia. The harming of self for a cause is a lot like Nod's fanatics, or any terrorist group's fanatics. Also the death worship and the "Kane lives in death" really match up. _________________ Tiberian Station
