The order the game renders voxel sections is based on each of the sections relative position & size in relation to the players view. Basically the bigger sections go on top of smaller ones & ones closer to the screen go on top of ones further behind.

In this case when the unit is facing south the missile is closer to the screen so it's rendered on top. When it's facing north the truck is closer though so it ends up being rendered over the missile.

To fix this you need to either increase the canvas size of the missile so it's bigger then the truck, the game uses the canvas size of the voxel & not the actual size of the model to calculate the layering so you can add areas of empty space to manipulate the layering order.

The other option is to change the voxel's offset so it's higher (closer to the camera) then the truck & then reposition it back down with the HVA. The game uses the voxel's offset to calculate it's "true" position in relation to the other sections, as the HVA position is just used for animation purposes.
