Hi guys,

So I'm getting round to making my 2nd custom campaign mission for my mod, New Horizons.. The 1st mission went well, it turned out as I wanted it. Both missions are part of what will be a multi-mission campaign for the Soviet Faction, and I intend to also make one for the Allied Faction.

For some reason, and I've only just started initial testing by selecting the mission from the main menu, it load up fine (correct custom load screen and text etc.), but once the game loads I have the Allied faction sidebar/interface, as well as the Allied EVA. I'm puzzled as to why, given I didn't have this problem with the original mission. Is anyone familiar with this, or has any knowledge of an overruling factor that decides what controls this?

I believe I've done what needs to be done in the battlemd, uimd, mapselmd, and missionmd .ini files (after all, I had pretty much replicated the 1st mission I did in terms of these .ini files).

Any advice would be appreciated here, thanks in advance.

Maybe you didn't change the player house

if you play a soviet map under an allied map name/campaign, that might happen; or at least it used to happen to me while mapping TS.

Hi guys sorry for late reply I've been away few days. Thanks for the responses, I have found the solution.

Despite opening the map in a wordpad editor and specifying the player's house, it was seemingly ignored Until I opened the map in FA2 and re-specified the player house there.

So the lesson here I guess is make sure to set it from within FA2 first.

*SOLVED*

So it was set incorrectly? Usually it doesn't matter what program specifies what, if it is valid.
If it was ignored, then it wasn't valid. But then shouldn't the game crash on map load?
