XCC Mixer seemingly lacks a "auto-find" feature, instead relying on the registry to find the games' folders.

How to fix this to include either custom directories or include game directories without having to re-run the installer? What registry edits do I have to do?
Running XCC Mixer as admin does not help.

Give like

Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Westwood\Red Alert 2]
"InstallPath"="I:\\YourPathToRedAlert2\\RA2.EXE"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Westwood\Tiberian Sun]
"InstallPath"="I:\\YourPathToTS\\"

The editable empty fields could also be used for your mods.

Nope.

RA2Reg.reg:
Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Westwood\Red Alert 2]
"InstallPath"="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Private\\Westwood\\Red Alert 2\\RA2.EXE"

I would just use the Dune 2 if you don't plan to have Dune 2 as you can set it by your self. Also the TD secondary is free.

This is ridiculous.

I run Mixer as admin, save the RA2 directory as RA1's; it only works if run as admin again, not if run normally, which makes problems for me since it's in Program Files and thus admin-protected. See here: https://ppmforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=45729

I'll try Dune and bump if it works, but I doubt it.
Could someone just... show me the registry entry and see if he/she can identify what type InstallPath is? That might be the problem on my end.

Run the XCC Utilities once, it is simpler. Install in some other drive where Windows don't have restriction. And run as admin. InstallPath is String value, your reg file entry format is correct.

Well never install anything into Program Files. Thought this was a know rule since the day Win 7 came out. Hell C:\Westwood\ *GAMEFOLDER* has been my install for all C&C games since RA1 was put there on a Win 98 PC I had in late 1999.

Face palm!
Thanks for the tip, Allen.

But still, it worked once, it works on other people's machines, why won't it work on my end?

@E1: What Utilities? This is all I have.

The installer that you tried to avoid in the first place. It looks more like you have permission problem.

If you mean XCC installer, no prob. Just let me get it.
RA2YR installers? Nope.

Also, solution not doing anything.
Guess I'll have to ship the stuff elsewhere.
