Based around an operational shortcoming realised during the Firestorm Crisis, the Watchman Armoured Fighting Vehicle joins the GDI arsenal to provide mid-range AA cover for ground troops. Coming in as a cheaper and earlier alternative to the Hover MLRS, the Watchman AFV can engage both ground and air targets, allowing valuable MLRS assets to be freed up for other duties. The Watchman does not pack the same punch as the MLRS against aerial targets however, so it is advised to group them into squads of 2-4 to maximise their impact. Against ground targets, their firepower is on par with the Wolverine assault suit, although their slower speed makes them less effective at scouting.
