Hi guys, my laptop is out of action until mid next week while I wait for a new power cable be delivered. So I’ve been concept designing and since I don’t want to drain what little battery I have remaining I can’t check the rules for possibilities.

Anyway -

Quick question ;

As it is possible to restrict a units movement to beach only; is it possible to restrict a buildings placement to a specific terrain type? Such as beach?

Mission 2 ;

Out of Time ;

We have sourced enough power to pull the time machine forward in time, but we are not home yet. Our calculations were misjudged and we have arrived 10,000 years too early. The time machine appears to be dysfunctional, and the lightning storms fried vital circuitry and we are unable to shut down the power. The time machine is being slowly damaged commander, and We only have a limited time to gather the required materials for repairs. We may be stranded here.

Watch out for wildlife, some of these creatures may not be so easily mind controlled.

Objectives ;
Primary Objective
Locate a reliable power source in the Siberian wilderness.

We must leave the time machine unattended, it has such little fuel remaining we cannot risk utilising it in transit. We only have a limited time to complete this objective.

Oh no, the severe Ice Age weather is rapidly damaging the equipment! The time machine is now entirely dysfunctional we will have to make preparations for a long term stay. Commander our engineer is abandoning the time machine, bring him safely to the ruins of our old cloning vats. He may be able to restore them to full functionality.

Secondary Objective
Locate the ruins of our old cloning vats.

Unusual time signature detected. It appears we are not out of luck! A soviet force seems to be utilising another experimental time machine in the region. We are unaware if they know of our presence.

New Objective Received;
Perform reconnaissance on the nearby soviet time signature.

Great Scott it appears the soviets are performing experiments with the local fauna! Commander, our slaves have scrapped what they could from the allied time machine. Using this new MCV we should be able to build up a base near our old cloning facility.

New construction options

We have just enough funds to construct a new refinery and war factory. Do not alert the Soviet’s of our presence.

New Objective Received

build up a small force and capture the soviet time machine.

Beach movement is possible but the shore tilesets aren't all correctly or consistently marked, so you'd essentially have to modify every shore tile in every theater to make it work, and fix every map to use them correctly.

I mean buildings ** I know units can restrict movement but can you restrict building placement to a specific terrain?

Mission 3 - The World is Mine

Welcome home commander, and what a home we have created. Our activities in the past have greatly affected the present. And from here they will affect the future. The allied chronosphere has not yet been invented, and our spies indicate that Albert Einstein focusses his efforts into the construction of atomic weaponry. A small but powerful rogue allied force has come to power in Germany. This force claims to be in pursuit and possession of advanced artefacts from the past. Likely of our creation. We have received Reconnaissance from our ice age soviet prisoners that speak of the coming assassination of Albert Einstein in this era. We are expecting a small soviet force will infiltrate the region imminently.

Primary Objective ;
Infiltrate the allied fortress and mind control the general in command Adolf Hitler.

With Adolf hitler under our command we now have the entire German army at our disposal. Not as advanced as the American GI’s these conscripts and tank destroyers will prove more than effective at repelling the incoming soviet forces. Tactically garrison the city and set up a small perimeter defence, prepare from attacks from all sides.

Time until soviet invasion; 10 minutes

New construction options. We now have authorisation to construct a base in the region.  Establish extensive slave operation to acquire enough funds to successfully repel the incoming invaders.

Battlefield expanded;
New Bonus Objective Received ;
The nearby territory of Poland will provide a powerful boost to our economy if captured.

Secondary Objective ;
Use the allied forces to defend Albert Einstein from the soviet time travellers. And successfully repel the incoming soviet invasion.

Yes i am also very much interested in restricting building placement for a project which can restore destroyed oils with a player built unit

I don't think so, limit for buildings is only "can buildings be put on this tile or not" and naval/non-naval, no way to make certain buildings only be able to be placed on certain type of terrains unless you set all the others to unplaceable ones, which will affect other buildings as they follow the same rule.
