Loading Screen never shows

I have a loading screen which shows as expected in vanilla YR, but when using Ares the screen is rarely visible as the game loads very quickly. I'd like to display the loading screen for at least 1-2 seconds so ppl can see my mod is installed, is there any setting I can change for this to work??

Are you using a secondary monitor to play RA2YR?

IIRC RA2 and YR have it in their code to keep loading screen displayed for a certain amount of time before it's allowed to go and the game "finishes loading".

Ares removed that restriction and sends players to menu as soon as loading is done.

Nope, only one monitor. So the loading screen no longer works in Ares? That can't be cause I've seen it a couple of times, but it's displayed very quickly.

What's the point if it's not visible?

Never thought I'd see someone complain that there isn't enough lag in the game :p

We do need to assure players somehow the mod and Ares have loaded #Tongue

I could do the change myself if it's not there, something like LoadingScreen.Delay=2 should do it. Can someone point me to the Ares 3.0 source code? I can't find it anywhere, is it not open source anymore?

The source code hasn't been available for a while now. Why don't you commit it to Phobos instead?
