I haven't played Yuri's Revenge in a few weeks. The last time I played, I was doing some RA2 missions I had implemented into my mod. The game was running fine. No files have been edited since the last time I played, but today, YR crashes upon startup, too soon to even receive an except.txt.

The syringe file carries the whole stack dump and what not, so the issue can still be pinpointed through that.

The main point would be:
Spoiler (click here to read it):
[22:29:18] SyringeDebugger::Run: Running process to debug. cmd = "gamemd.exe -SPEEDCONTROL -CD -AI-CONTROL"
[22:29:18] SyringeDebugger::Run: Allocating 0x584 bytes...
[22:29:18] SyringeDebugger::Run: pAlloc = 0x001C0000
[22:29:18] SyringeDebugger::Run: Writing DLL loader & caller code...
[22:29:18] SyringeDebugger::Run: pcLoadLibrary = 0x001C0000
[22:29:18] SyringeDebugger::Run: Entering debug loop...
[22:29:19] SyringeDebugger::HandleException: Finished retrieving proc addresses.
[22:29:19] SyringeDebugger::HandleException: Creating code hooks.
[22:29:19] SyringeDebugger::HandleException: Exception (Code: 0xC0000005 at 0x0072ED05)!
[22:29:19] The process tried to read from 0x00000002.

Followed by the stack dump. I'll upload the whole document here though. In 20 years playing this, I can't say I've ever had RA2 or YR hit an internal error as a crash before even starting up. Any solution is much appreciated.

Corrupted mix containing your inis and whatnot most likely...

Have you tried AICHECK?

Did you change any UI related stuff that could involve rectangle arithmetic?

Or resolution/ddraw renderers?

All fixed! I was missing MIX files...all of them  Laughing (I have a family member who plays my mod too, so copied files were straight up moved in the case of mix files).
