My mod is very simple as I’m just starting out. I changed the NOD light tank weapon to an obelisk laser. All I did was edit the unitdata.cpp file and copy the weapon data from the obelisk structure.

The mod works. When I load a skirmish map as NOD my 2 light tanks now shoot lasers. Brilliant!

But the game always crashes after a minute or so. I’ve tried rebuilding the source code in case there’s an error in the recompile or something. Nothing works, the game always crashes.

The fact that I’ve literally only edited 1 variable and the edit works suggests to me that something else is causing the crash, but if I disable my mod and play a skirmish game, all is well and no crashes.

Can anyone help?

I had similar issues. Are you using Visual Studio 2019 to build it? If yes, download Visual Studio 2017 and build it there. I haven't had crashes ever since.
