Subject description: Naval Expansion

I have successfully added my naval expansion (adding land and naval houses) to the TSTW and the game runs fine but FinalSun will not load any maps when I add Owner=GDI,GDILand to the war factory not even a multiplayer map.

Can some explain to me how [Houses] and [SPHouses] works with final sun and if there are any additional things I need to know?

Add/Create standard houses so that house list is available locally in the map and then try.

Could also check with patched FinalSun - https://ppmforums.com/topic-47355/finalsun-101-patches/

Could replace the Map Editor folder content in TSClient with this updated one. Though based on mod needs, the FSData.ini and FSLanguage.ini have to be changed. Could also look at DTA mod but it uses a slightly altered patch when it comes to SPHouses section.

Patched finalsun uses one of Houses reference changed to SPHouses in the finalsun EXE file to enable the 8 Spawn houses support which is available with ts-patches. SPHouses section is needed in rules.ini and is only used in finalsun. 8 additional houses listed in SPHouses section is used for the spawn house support. Also firestrm.ini in finalsun is renamed to FSR.ini, so game uses firestrm.ini and finalsun uses FSR.ini. Merging Houses/SPHouses section in finalsun (coded badly) is index number based and total count restriction is from rules.ini only. SPHouses is used when creating standard houses but dropdown uses map list or merged/overwritten names from FSR.ini. Could look at DTA mod's SPHouses for added house list but keep the SPHouses in rules.ini (not in FSR.ini as in DTA which is patched slightly differently).

Added complexity is because of the 8 spawn houses support for MP maps. If you don't want it, that could be disabled with FSP dll (change FSData.ini key) and keep all Houses and SPHouses sections same (without any SpawnXX/ExtraXX houses) in rules and FSR INI files.

Thanks E1Elite, I've been stumbling around with crashes and such for a long time and FINALLY got it all working! I still am unable to get the patched editor to work but was able to get the old one so no worries. TSTW now has fully functioning naval factories with naval units and all is working perfectly!

If you could tell what is the problem with the patched one, could trace it out. Does it work with latest TSClient when Map Editor folder contents are replaced? It needs mod specific changes in FSData.ini and FSLanguage.ini files for mods.

Yes it works fine with original TS client but crashes when I place it in TSTW, I'm not sure exactly what I have to change to make it work properly.

Tried with TSTW 2.5.1. FSP Dll is giving exception on some string reading from INI files. It runs if you remove the FSP.dll, though some features like tile manager or couple of clone buttons won't work without the dll.

There is problem with parsing your sound01.ini. Original FinalSun doesn't read it but FSP.dll does.

You can troubleshoot problems with sound01.ini, may be small case IDs or long IDs. I checked with removing duplicate index, giving index in sequence and even changing priority to Priority in some added sections, those didn't fix it.

For now, you can make parsing sound.ini instead of sound01.ini by giving in FSData.ini:

[Filenames]
Sound=INI\SOUND.INI
SoundFS=INI\SOUND.INI
