Well, this is disappointing... No one submitted a map to the contest... (If you don't know what this mapping contest is, read here.)
Well, I'll extend the deadline to November 30th, which is the last day of the RA Red Revolution Anniversary Event. If this mapping contest fails again, you've proved to me how dead this mod is. So please, get to it and start mapping.

It takes a certain level of fanaticism to put in that kind of work for someone elses project, and there's plenty of other smaller mods where a person's efforts will have outsized effect.

I'd probably try my hand at it, just to see how DDAY's terrain is, but I'm busy enough...

You know, there are better ways to communicate with those you're trying to entice into making maps.

Sounds pretty entitled. You should work on your communication skills, otherwise the only entries you're gonna get will be blank map files.

D-day has a very small fan base of players that as far as I can tell dont know anything about map making. D-day also uses custom terrain that requires editing RA2's core mix files for it to work in FinalAlert2, something that only experienced RA2 modders can do.

You're kinda looking for a niche within a niche with this competition so I'm not that surprised you didn't get any entries TBH :/

kind of off topic, but shouldnt newer versions of fa2 read terrain files and palettes from expandmd mixes first?

Secsome has fixed the palette loading issues in FA2SP, so we no longer have to worry about modifying cache.mix to fix FA2.

Yeah now that you mention it I vaguely remember FA2SP fixing that issue.

Oh I am sad to hear that. You got overwhelmed. That happens to many of us. I will have to start working on work for the final exam these days, I would lack free time as well.

How old are you? I do not give you more than 35! Very Happy
You would not guess my age haha.

Oh, and regarding this maping contest.... According to the previous comments here it failed most likely. It is unfortunate that it did not happen. But as I see one of few reasons was lack of proper communication. This happens lately.
