I bought an HP all in one mainly for this purpose only to find out it does not have this feature.

You have to customize the system to run it and it is extremely confusing as every step you take leads to the program giving you a FAILED TO INSTALL.

So basicly unlesss your a programmer, you can't run it.

Microsoft is full BS

The Android feature on Windows 11 is still in development & currently only works in America with the Amazon Appstore.

You can "sideload" Android apps but that requires using the beta version of Windows 11, the dev version of Android & manually installing them with Command Prompt, which is what I presume you are trying to do?

I'd recommend just waiting until the feature is expanded to cover other regions & app stores.

WSL needed years to get the kinks resolved and WSL was probably the best thing Microsoft pulled off in this entire millennia even if WSLg is also limited to Win11 only.

I haven't even heard of WSL receiving another extension to Android and tbh unless someone is a developer, sideloading Android into a Windows even sounds useless to me, the PC inputs do not correlate much to a tablet (and this comes from someone who has touchscreens in his laptops and HATE THEM WITH A PASSION).

I'm not a dev but I live on WSL2 in my daily work. Blending Windows and Linux the way WSL acts is perfect but Android requiring all it's Google locks and limitations probably gut out most of the reasons behind the practicality.

This is true, did some development work on Android devices. Had a 64 GB RAM Dell Latitude at work, a beast of a laptop.

It lagged the living hell in the emulator Android Studio/IntelliJ provided. Maybe they'll manage to make it work properly for dev work, but otherwise, it's just another step towards ARM architecture laptops.

WSL itself proved really nice when I needed different compilers and environments for university work. The kind where I stress-tested various data structures and algorithms across compilers and OSs.
