Hello,

I see this tool has a lot of A/S/Y color conversion options but I was unable to find something more basic: a Swap RGB Channel.

For who does not know, that is a method of switching colors between them.

For example, if you have something that is RGB 255 100 0 (obtaining something orange), if you swap R with B you will get RGB 0 100 255 which is clearly blue-ish.

Something like that is extremely useful specially when creating projectiles.
If I make a green plasma particle I can instantly copy it to a blue or red one. Similar for other variations depending on color content.

So, it something like this supported ?

If not, I think it will be an excellent feature to have.

Thanks !

What you call color conversions, are in fact changes of the palette index, called "color schemes".
Since you are limited to the colors in the palette, there is no RGB based color changing possible.
Using your example, just because you have a color RGB 255 100 0 in the palette, doesn't mean you also have a color RGB 0 100 255 in the palette. So you have to specify which palette index you want to change into another index.
Such index changes are set in the color scheme files.
The color schemes are simple text files in ini format in folder "OS SHP Builder\cscheme", where you are free to create your own scheme and add it to the existing ones.

For hueshifting/channel-swapping/color inversion, I would go for palette manipulation instead of asset manipulation, because that prevents losing detail anyway.
