Greetings, Comrade General! VectorIV, the leader of Zero Hour Enhanced, has recently shared some progress done with this project with the public. For those unaware, Zero Hour Enhanced is a modification for Command & Conquer Generals: Zero Hour that enhances the gameplay experience of the game according to VectorIV's visions. Here is what was posted about it:

Hello, today I have a very special update for you all. Let me introduce you to your replacement on the battlefield, ROBOTS, designed to exterminate humans in the most efficient way possible, which costs more than what 99% of people could see in a lifetime while sitting in the comfort of your favourite chair using an Xbox controller.

Because if there's one thing money hungry humans are good at, it is finding new ways to enslave or kill each other over black liquid in the ground or shiny rocks or something idk I fall asleep in Geology.

Anyhow, first of all, we have the discounted Wall-E, a movie from 2008 which I never saw but somehow remembered. Initially, it's unarmed and only serves as forward observers and targeting assistants. Once upgraded with combat support package, it's armed with M240 GPMG remote weapon station, enabling it to provide fire support to friendly infantry in early stage of the battle. The Sentry UGV is also equipped with thermal camera enabling it to detect camouflaged enemy units and also camouflage itself once deployed.

Up next, it's the Terminator, but not quite. It can't disguise as a human "yet", but it seems to be very good at killing. Armed with 30mm M230 chain gun, the kind used on attack helicopters, which is even more destructive than Bradley IFV's 25mm, let that sink in. That means this thing can outgun most infantry and light vehicles in early stage of the battle.

Finally, super futuristic paramedic UGV that could reduce casualties in the battlefield by a large margin but still won't pick up the wounded who can't pay for it, only in the blessed land of America. It can do anything that a combat medic could do but better (except gunning down third worlders, leave that to the other two), including medical supplies distribution and AED support.

But hey, doesn't all of these sound too good to be true? Why would one bother building any infantry, then? What's the catch?

The catch is the two new drone mechanic to be introduced in the new version.

The first one, we have the lost transmission mechanic, meaning when the Network Surveillance Center is destroyed, the drones will temporarily be paralysed until it's eventually rerouted to the Central Command because drones use wifi network or something I don't know. I just made it up.

The second one is the fact drones consume power, meaning you can't just keep spamming them without consequences and putting Sentry drones in every corner of the map in early part of the battle.
Despite how annoying these features may be, these can all be mitigated through new upgrades. So buy the upgrade, then spam them everywhere or something.

NATO Milrem 'Sentry' Tracked Hybrid Modular Infantry System is NATO's unmanned reconnaissance ground vehicle, capable of performing various tasks such as forward observation, targeting assistant and detection of camouflaged enemy troops through its thermal camera.

Due to its considerable small size and the roles it plays on the battlefield, the UGV can be camouflaged once it's deployed to silently gather intelligence on unsuspecting enemy troops.

Once upgraded with combat support package, it can provide fire support to friendly infantry, making it an important component of NATO generals to maintain control of the battlefield or security of their base.

Armaments: (upgradable) M240 7.62mm machine gun remote weapon station.

NATO Milrem 'Guardian' Tracked Hybrid Modular Infantry System is NATO's unmanned combat ground vehicle. Armed with a 30mm autocannon, it can easily tear enemy infantry and light vehicles into shreds.

Armaments: 30mm M230 chain gun remote weapon station.

NATO Milrem 'Paramedic' Tracked Hybrid Modular Infantry System is NATO's unmanned ground paramedic vehicle. Unarmed but comes fully equipped with medical supplies and AED station.

Now, you may have questions like "are there gonna be more drones in future?" and the answer would be yeah, I guess. But definitely not in the next update, which is the final one in NATO vehicle update series. So I guess I see you until then.
