Hi,

i just now joined the forum, only a few decades to late.
Wish i was here from the start but here now!
Got TS/FS from on steam but the FS is..dissapointing, cant get the maps to work. I downloaded the WAE and spend a night trying to fix the key but no succes(not a reall tech guy im afraid) if anyone could help me out with a FS version id be delighted.

Last qstion..i love to build huge bases and play forever ^^
I see a ton of maps wich are epic but who can point out a map that is made for building into eternaty?

TS is free. Download TSClient (it is standalone) from moddb, it comes with patched FinalSun:
https://www.moddb.com/mods/tiberian-sun-client/downloads

WAE should work with TSClient:
https://github.com/CnCNet/WorldAlteringEditor/releases

TSClient also comes with several bigger user made maps.

I did some mapping already of a excisting default map but i cant play it yet.
When saving the map in WAE there was no mentioning of anything in the pop up window so i saved in customs as the read.me says but it doesnt work i saved in
every folder but no luck. I made my house gdi in the South and enemy  NOD in the
north.

For single player (campaign/mission) maps, you have to add an entry in INI\Battle.ini. Look at TSDemo1/2 map as examples.

Multiplayer/skirmish maps can be placed loose in custom folder. If making an entry in INI\MPMaps.ini, it can be placed in other folders.

Right, thanks for the tip:).
I used the search engine to find the TSdemo1/2 map but nothing pops up no mather i i spell it:(

In INI\Battle.ini, search TSDEMO. There are 2 maps, listed as TSDEMO1 and TSDEMO2 and later those have its section [TSDEMO1] and [TSDEMO2]. Make similar stuff for your new mission maps.

In its map files (Maps\Missions\tsdemo1.map), [Basic] section has OneTimeOnly=yes and SkipMapSelect=yes etc. which makes those maps as a single map, not stitched to a campaign, so you come back to menu.
