Hi all.

Playing tib sun again, but the latest updates fails to install after a fifth of a progress bar. Says too many attempts to download a specific file or something. Any ideas?

Try manually downloading and installing the latest version instead of using the auto updater.

You'll need to ask the client's developers for help with that.

Old save games are not supposed to work as rules.ini and map files most likely have changed with TSClient.

Latest TSC - https://www.moddb.com/mods/tiberian-sun-client/downloads

You should be able to update from within the client.

There is also Vinifera extension, which adds more features and bug fixes. You can update to Vinifera by changing the channel from the updates tab in TSClient options window. After changing the channel, save options and restart the client.

Yes, I have downloaded that and it is up to date. But I wanted a way to be able to use my old version 6 saves.

So you're saying I cannot possibly keep the old version saves if I use latest client?

If that's the case its all good, I'll stick with the old version. I just thought id be able to run latest version with my saves as I'm half way through a campaign.

Yes, rules.ini has changed between TSC v6 and V7.07 latest. So, old saves won't work.

I have shared individual mission listing earlier by which you can play any of the mission map from the campaign. If you want it, I will update and share again.

How does that work? Is there a way to input the missions onto the campaign selection lists?

Attaching an older version (will update if I get time on the weekend).

You have to unzip into the TSClient folder (copy and ovewrite). The minus side is you won't get mission selection screen and movies between missions. I basically use this setup for testing.

Also, you have to disable updates - \Resources\ClientDefinitions.ini -> change line to:
ModMode=true

You can have multiple copies of TSC in different folders, so one could be like this and another can have Vinifera etc.

Edit: With Vinifera, a hotkey can be used to win current mission and move to the next.
