Uh, how to convert files, anyone?

I am working on a mod for Tiberian Sun that puts the Soviets in the game. However, I am not sure about taking files from Red Alert 2 and putting them in Tiberian Sun. Anyone got an answer?

You need recolor it too TS color.

Extract it & resize it 25% smaller.

ra2 anims to ts anims ; i am sure there was a tutorial for this
=============================
1. find apporiate ra2 anim.
2. find covert palette, ra2 anim
3. Copy as PCX
4. Find PCX XX - XX where XX are numbers
5. Select all PCX XX files and select ts anim palette.
6. Copy as SHP (ts)
7. Refresh to see new shp.
8. Resize by 25%, if resizing infantry, use OS SHP builder to prevent nasty pink line syndrom.

Notes

* the colours may look wierd, darker, lighter, etc due to the fact it uses the ts anim palette.
* u will need to edit some art entries for anims i.e. water explosions and man on fire anims use unit palette i believe.

Thanks, I ask this because I am working on a TC for Tiberian Sun bringing Red Alert 2 in, with only the Allies, Soviets, and Yuri as teams (Yuri added in Firestorm). Thanks for your help, it worked!

Can I ask the point of doing this, the obvious differences in the TS and RA2 engines will probably cut short a lot of the depth of RA2, and of course the size of the files needed, I fail to see the point.

Just for fun, to test the capabilities of my modding skills, and to prove a friend wrong are my reasons. I may also do a TC for RA2 to transform it into a more advanced TS. VERY CHALLENGING. I was just looking at the differences in the ini files, and it will take a while. Slimby, you have a point. I will probaly just concentrate on the RA2 TC.
