Unit
Hi i tryed adding a unit with Mindcontrol into Ra2Yr and this is what i did:
I just tryed a tutorial for adding that unit but it didn't work, this is what i added to rules.ini:

Image=DOG won't work inthe art.ini, you'll need a new SHP called psychdog.shp for it to show ingame. Not other obvious errors are jumping out at me (it is only 8:0am, though). I have a feeling that combining limbo logic and psychic powers will conflict. _________________

Limbo logic won't be used unless a weapon demands it, and MindControl does not... unless he edited it, which I highly doubt.
@topic starter: What do you mean "it didn't work"? You couldn't build it? You couldn't see it when built? What?
Firstly, are you talking about RA2 or YR? You say you edited ra2yr, but you mention art.ini... YR doesn't care what art.ini says, it looks for artmd.ini (and rulesMD.ini, and all other ini files with the MD suffix) instead.
If you can't build it... which country are you playing as? And when you play as Yuri, you'll get the "New Construction Options" bug...
If you can't see it, delete your entries from the art(md).ini, and, like Clazzy suggested, add Image=DOG to the rules(md).ini.
And afaik, ra2_english.csf is not the corect filename... ra2(md).csf is. QUICK_EDIT
OK, wait, i want it to work in YR so i did something wrong, what must i do to fix it? I can't see it in the contruction options with Russia, @D-Coder How can i give it mind control then??? _________________ Formerly known as:

Edit rulesMD.ini instead of rules.ini. Like someone told you at Revora (no need to cross post stuff, btw), you can just as well copy Yuri Clone entry and add Image=DOG instead of this.
In short, just add YURIDOG to [InfantryTypes], and add the following code:

Sorry, it's both early in the morning and I haven't modded RA2 for over a year and a half, so my knowledge of RA2-specific code has faded away. _________________

Copy dog.shp, rename it into yuridog.shp, add it to the gaem directory, edit it to your liking, then delete the Image=DOG line from rulesmd.ini, and add to artmd.ini this:
But then again, infantry editing takes a LOT of work (300 frames to edit.. bah). And all the stuff you're asking can be figured out by spending FIVE minutes looking at rulesmd.ini and artmd.ini and thinking how they link to each other. QUICK_EDIT
