Hey all!  I seem to have run into a problem.  I wanted to add either the Dropship or the Orca Transport to the game.  They build fine on the Heli-Pad, but as soon as I send them somewhere else, they go twitchy crazy and never land.

I was wondering if this had happened to any of you all.

Someone had told me that this problem is unfixable, so I tried messing with things.  My research led me to believe this was impossible.  But then I got a brilliant (cough... retarded... cough) idea to turn an amphibious apc into the dropship/orca transport.

So I proceeded to clone the amphibious apc, and alter the coding to resemble the dropship/orca transport.  What I found was that the unit would land and take off with no problems (no more twitching) but it now came out of the War Factory.  It comes out all right, but when it lands right on the little cemented exit to the War Factory, the unit becomes trapped.  But when the unit starts out on the map already (as one of the ten units you start with), there are no problems whatsoever.

I know why it's doing this, but I have no idea on how to fix it; I don't even know if it is possible to do so.

If any of you know of or have experienced this same phenomena, let me know if I'm just an idiot or i have stumbled upon something of little significance.  Don't be too hard on me if I'm wrong.  Thanks

He he, thanks Banshee.  I'll see to getting it done asap.  One other thing...
Some infanrty fire lasers at different "heights" than others do.  Would I fix that by changing the FireUp from 2 to another number?

Son of a biscut...That sucks...I wonder if I should keep trying or give up.  If anyone else wont give up, I wont either.

Don't touch FireUp. Edit the Primary/SecondaryFireFLH instead.
BTW, your sig pic is annoyingly large. And it's a BMP, ever heard of PNG/JPG?

I'll fix sig later.  Well, I've been messing with cloning aircraft for 2 hours now, and have nearly thought of everything.  I was able to get the transport to "paradrop" the infantry, but I messed with it some more and got to where you have to force fire as you move to get it to land.  I figure this is the closest I'm gonna get.  All I know is that the transport HAS to have a dock or else it will just fly around forever or to the nearest hover unit.  Paradropping looked cool as heck...if only the animation for it was better.  Well, looks like I'm done with the whole flying transport bit.  Can always just clone the amphibious apc and keep it on land...  Sad

As of yesterday, my quest to make a working dropship/transport ceased.  Instead, I made a Hover APC that can carry 10 infantry.  This will replace the Amphibious APC in my mod.  Needless to say, a hover transport does work.
