I've heard over and over that you can use WinAmp to convert certain music formats to WAV, but I don't know how to do this using WinAmp or XCC Mixer. Someone please clarify for me which program I have to use, and what to do to convert it to WAV. I have several songs I want to add to YR, including AUDs and WAVs (one of them is FF7's One Winged Angel [Noubu Uematsu is God!!!]). I need specific details on how to do this, or I'll be stuck with the same stuff for a while!

Nobuo Uematsu is the most overrated composer in VGM history

It all depends on the format your music is in. If it's an MP3, you can convert it to WAV using WinAmp's Disk Writer plugin. If it's somewhere inside another game, it can be pretty difficult to extract. If it's AUDs, you can use XCC Mixer to "Copy as WAV > IMA ADPCM" to convert them to WAV.
Once you have WAVs, read this guide. If anything is unclear, ask.

I like Goldeneye, but not for music. If it was released on the XBox, it would kick Halo 2's ass!

Okay..... I have the plug-in, and I followed your directions, DCoder, but how do I insert stuff into the BAG file and ICF file? I know how to get stuff out of the BAG file, but I don't see an insert button. And I used the "Copy as WAV" feature in the Mixer, but I can't paste! Please be more specific on the copy function, and help out with inserting stuff into the BAG and ICF files!

You don't insert theme music into bag/idx. You insert it into standard mix files, the guide I linked you to details that in the section "20 music tracks of your choice".

Deezire's INI editing guide says that if a sound or song isn't in the BAG file and not referenced in the ICF file, then you'll hear nothing. I need a way to insert stuff into the BAG file and a way to edit the ICF file. I can work MIX files just fine, but I need to work the aforementioned files.

I have to applaud you for at least trying to find the answer on your own. Wink But you're way off:
DeeZire's sound.ini guide wrote:
All of the game's generic sounds are controlled through this file. Generic sounds include any sound made in the game other than the musical themes and the EVA/Sofia voices which are dealt with by the THEME.INI and EVA.INI files respectively.

Thera are three kinds of audio:
You put ingame sounds, such as unit voices, structure ambients, etc. into the BAG with XCC Mixer > Launch > XCC Sound Editor, and code them up in sound(md).ini .
You put theme songs into your standard mix file, and code them up in theme(md).ini . Or, alternatively, use the YRPM I repetitively linked you to.
You put EVA sounds into your standard mix file, and code them up in eva(md).ini .

What about my "Copy as AUD" problem? Where do I paste? I tried making a new MIX, but it still didn't let me paste, and I can't paste anywhere else. Also, it doesn't do anything to the existing file.

Looks like you need to read Mixer usage tutorial I wrote , about what happens to copied files (first section) particularly.
Also, Mixer does not insert files into mixes, the Mix Editor does that.
And where did you get the "Copy as AUD" from? That worked in TS, not in RA2...
