GameSpot interview about C&C: First Decade.
Louis Castle was recently interviewed by GameSpot to fill in the details from this new Theater Of War... or Worldwide Warfare known as C&C: First Decade. The interview has absolutelly no news, except that the games from the package will already be patched. There is only one thing that might bring an interesting point about a future C&C game:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"GS: We have to wonder about the state of the C&C team at this point in time, considering that key talent has already left the studio (such as executive producer Mark Skaggs taking a leave of absence, Dustin Browder leaving for Blizzard, Joe Bostic (a member of the Tiberian Sun and Red Alert teams) starting up Petroglyph, and of course, the departure of Joe Kucan, who played the role of Kane in the Tiberian games. How have these departures affected the status of the C&C franchise, and development on future projects in the franchise?
LC: I am really proud of the talent that has been a part of this franchise over the years. I count some of the guys that have worked on this series among my best friends and I truly believe that they are phenomenally talented. However, everyone who works in games knows that making a game is a collaborative effort and that it takes the combined efforts of many, many talented people to deliver a great game. While I'm excited to see my friends exploring new opportunities, I also couldn't be more excited about the team that we have in place on our current RTS game, The Lord of the Rings, The Battle for Middle-earth II. Mike Verdu is not only a creative leader inside of EA but was also key to the development of C&C Generals and C&C Generals Zero Hour. We have many long time fans of the series and core RTS gamers on the team who are talented designers, engineers, artists, and producers. I'm really proud that the game has a legacy that draws the best talent in the business."

Do you understand what it means? It probably means that they will announce a new C&C game after the release of BfME II... Yea, people... patience is a virtue... but mine is almost gone. QUICK_EDIT
I don't know what to beleive...if they'll make a new C&C game, then it'ld be a continuation for Red Alert/Tiberian Sun series, not such as Generals that has nothing to do with original C&C.
Butif they wont, then...umm...I dunno _________________
Completely agree with Banshee on this one.
The next 6 months will be a pain for the C&C Community. Waiting for LOTR2 and then waiting for the next C&C to be announced (if it is announced till mid 2006).
I think it’s great they’re re-releasing the entire first decade of games in a single box. Nobody’s forcing those who already have the games to buy them again so why complain? I do however think that putting it all on one DVD is very risky. If you accidentally scratch the disk in the wrong place, the whole thing will probably become useless. If they had planned to release them all on individual disks that would have been much better. That way, fans would be able to see a huge section on their shelves dedicated to the last 10 years of awesome game play Westwood has provided us with. They could even have done like MGM did with the James Bond Collection and have it so when the cases are all lined up they make an image, lol. I have every intention of buying this box set. Not only for the compatibility, but for the ease of use, and fan pride. QUICK_EDIT
That would actually be no problem at all, I'd be more concerned about how they're going to go about keeping the games seperate if they do use one DVD... _________________
i'm very glad they are doing this because i never had the chance to play TD or RA1. the two that suck: one disk and the fact that EA is involved with the whole process. _________________
I just hope they put the good old conyard into the new one whoever took it out has no idea what they are doing and what happened to the good old refineries whoever took them out has no idea aswell. If they put them back in itll be cnc again. _________________ -------------------------------------------------------
