CNC: The Fragile Balance is going to be new mod Im working on.
It will feature 2 sides: Romans and Chinese (MODERN Romans and Chinese). Romans are going to be East- Fanatic Christians, West-Colonialistic-Capitalistic swines and Republic- an rebel force trying to restore democracy. Chinese will be, kinda...  the Good Guys almost crushed by east Romans.

Yeah, I know, I will retexture them, but right now Im just making everything really fast so I can have a base for mod.

WTF have you been smoking dude?!

East Romans ceaced to exist in 1496 when Constantinople was destroyed by the Turks.And that was 600 years ago!

And those voxels are very ugly man-just impractical.That MCV is too vide.And the Harvester needs work.Alsdo these machines look like someone has pissed over them...

Please re-do them and make a more realistic story.For instance-the bad imperialists USA and UK versus the good China and Japan.

I think having a modern-ish Roman side is a very interesting idea, it'll be good so see what you can come up with.

Exactly, it's like having a "What if?" with one of these as one of the alternatives in what could have happened.

And making a bad US + UK against China + Korea has just been done so much now it's boring. And also these Voxels aren't finished yet (I presume) but Kiith-Sa has said he'll improve on them. Story will NOT be changed, you know, thats a little too much, and yeah, voxels: Harv will be retextured or completely replaced, artillery is unfinished with textures,MCV will be surely redone, but size will stay and sub is finished.

I don't say the story is rubbish.I say it has gaps in it.Big ones.

And a China-Japan alliance is possible-if both sides make some changes in theyr ways.

But because Kiit-Sa doesn't want to change the story-why don't you tell us with the details?And BTW,shouldn't the western powers be "the West Roman Empire",not the East?

The Chinese and Japanese can allie provided WWII did not occur, hence the Japanese atrocities would not have been committed against the Chinese.

@ Clazzy: WWII was the one incident which really severed ties. The Chinese hate the Japanese because of their cruelty. The Japanese hate the Chinese because of how many soldiers they killed while resisting.

Anyway, about the mod. Its a great idea to re-introduce the old powers of the the world. Maybe even the Trojans  Very Happy  But in modern warfare. That would be awesome, though the storyline has to be flawless or it while be corny.

Those big tubes...are they the flamethrower?Because if they are,that would be very inpractical-the tank would need a hell lot of oil/gas to fire flames.It's just not economical.If you make one smaller.

Well then gas is pressurized. BTW, those big ones will be used only when target moves very close, there are smaller ones under them.
Maybe I will change this voxel, but right now Im just moving forward.

Here is the new version of Flamethrower and APC-BTW, names are temporal, Im doing vxl stuff only right now. (Becouse Ive got a LOT of ideas, really, just got an idea about China Dirty Rocket of some kind as SW and roman ICBM on the other side.)

EDIT: I think there is some sort of making SHPs from 3d models script or at least help. Anyone know where?

go to the PPM main page, scroll down, and when you see a text on left that says: "Tiberian Sun" look below it and you should see a tutorial of "Making shps from 3d" or something like that...

Here is the APC ingame. It is very fast, very low strengts and OpenTopped with 3 troopers. It usually destroys enemy units at the first moment, but if something is left, it becomes very vulnerable.

I like the story (it's kinda like that "Imperator" MMO they canceled, but not as cheesy), and that APC looks damn good.  You just need to remember to take your time.  A rushed mod is a crappy mod.  Instead of trying to "move forward", concentrate on making each part as good as you can possibly make it before "moving forward".

I'd keep Roman soldiers close to our military we have at the moment, but with Red uniforms and banners. #Tongue

Also I think Romans should have Power Suits.. I don't know why, I just think they should Wink

Also, make the time this takes place realistic, for example make it start at 1700 A.D. (Empire fell at 476 A.D.) Which offers a lot of technical advancements to be made during this gaping time. America should be colonised by the Romans. The Native Americans should be destroyed to a point where they are now auxillaries to the Roman Army.

I'm thinking 70% of the world is Roman. And 30% is Chinese/Japanese (It doesn't sound right, I'm putting forward a new name for them: The Coalition, or the Asian Alliance.). Have it not exactly limited to the Chinese and Japan, make it include India, Russia, Mongolia, etc. So we have 2 solid sides.

Man,you're talking about the Western Empire and it fell in 410 ad,when Romul Augustull was detroned by Odoaker,the king of the visigoths.And the East Empire ceased to exist in 1496ad when the Turks captured Constantinopole.

But the rest of your ideas isn't bad.Let's see if Kiith-Sa will acept it.

Fact one: America is _not_ colonised-Maybe Ill have some use for Mayans in the campaign, but that can be year from now.
Fact two:Romans will be actually weaker than Chinese in terms of units and they will not have things like turreted and tracked units and no rockets too, bout will have radar jammers and suprise hit tactics units, with high firepower and speed but low strength and ROT.
Romans will have lasers and EMP-which will be important, and Chinese will  have electric things. Dont know about Japanese now, maybe civilists, but Romans will be superiors in terms of economy and control more of the world. Chinese will rely on very good defense. Both armies will be similar to modern military, Chinese by tanks and Romans a little more. Mongolia...maybe, dont know about India, but I think Kambodya (How is that in English?) will be important. Any other good ideas, post here.  Smile
Just got an idea about Slavonic(How is that in English, again?) resistance (using Roman units).

BTW,will the Slav(ic) Ressistance be a new faction or just "country" to the Romans or Chinese?

Deezire has building methot minelayer, which is crappy. Thanks, Ill look at YRArg.

Im thinking about it as an idea that could get into mod with 50% chance, and only after more important things are done. It would probably be Roman country with many changes and cheap Chinese units (They would support the resistance), or maybe just in campaign (That wouldnt even be a country).

So the Slavs will be mainly Roman units and a few Chinese,or they will have a few unique units which you can build,but only in the campaigns.Right?

Yeah. I was thinking about them as a computer side, but assuming control of their base in one mission could be good. Anyway, I need a _lot_ of time to get there.
