Overlay problems
Ok, I added some new overlays to TS. They work ingame sort of, but the real problem is in final sun. When I use the overlay & special drop down bar, I can see my new additions in the list. But when I select them they are not useable. The image in the white box does not change and I can not place them down. I have coded them both in rules.ini and art.ini and they work ingame. It is possible to add them by using the show all overlay feature, but it is very inconveniant as they come up as numbers, can someone help me so I can view what I am placing down in final sun?
Also when I say the work sort of I want them to act as a rock, however my units can get as close as they want to the overlay, just not directly on the cell, how can I increase how much the units can not go on, it looks stupid to see a vehicles sort of half merged in the new overlay.
I know I'm new to all this, so I may not be able to give you the help you need but, would you be able to send me the rules and art files that you are working on ?
I'd be interested to see the changes you have made in them ..
I am only learning myself how to edit some things for which I am having problems w\ but I'm figuring some things out as I experiment and as people help ... Check your PM ... QUICK_EDIT
They do have those, however I think they can only take up 1 cell. Where as the rest of the graphics can be gonbe over by vehicles. I made these cliffs terrain objects, and you can give them a foundation, so they work, however any unit that has a weapon with a warhead with wall=yes will try to fire at these cliffs when they are in the way. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
Becuase I wanted them to act as rocks, which are actually shps, although when tested as rocks they were utter crap and didn't work, all I want them to do is act like a barrier, tmping them would take ages due to image size. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
I have come up to a soloution with the units not going over them, however the problem in not being able to view them in final sun is still persisting and is extreamely annoying to work with.
Sorry for the double post, but this slows a lot of work down. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
You need to use TMP for anything that takes up more than one cell, with the exception of bridges that are coded to act a certain way AFAIK. You also can't add to the list of overlays. QUICK_EDIT
