Is your C&C 95 crashing at the borders of the map?

What I was attempting to say is: In my case the crash consistently happened when I got the stealth tank into position marked on this picture (the picture is from 640x480 resolution, the crash happened with the default resolution of 640x400). If you move the tank into similar position and the game hangs, then it is possible that the crash you noticed was caused by the same problem.
now I understand and yea it happen when I have the stank there... should it help with resolution 640x480 and how do I run C&C in that resolution?

You previously posted a patch for the command and conquer win 95 edition that addressed the problem of the game crashing when units went to the top of the map.
Where can I find the patch?
Does it fix the problem?

I have an error while running C&C 95(not Gold)
After about 5 seconds of play in any mission, The game freezes.No error messages, no beeps, nothing, just freezes as if a screenshot.
Also the game has an error if i try to create a new game at the campaing mode, but I can play saved-capmaing levels.
Please help me, I really love the game, and want to play it.

hey guys!
actually I was searching for the solution...because my is Vista!
I found the solution about this crash when units are close to the boarder...(not sure about XP)
1. right click C&C95.exe
2. properties
3. compatibility
4. Be sure it's run under Window 95 (of course)
*5. on the settine, be sure that the
"run in 256 colors",
"Run in 640x480 screen solution"
"Disable Visual Theme
" are all checked

This should be it... I was playing the NOD 2nd last level, where I have to capture the Advance Communication Center but it always freeze when my engineer is close to get in.
try it and tell me if it fixed the bug[/b]

This solution is known for a while. Disabling the visual theme seems to do the job alone, I think. But there is a better one, which is to use Nyerguds patch.

Windows stuff never actually affected the border crash, since it was purely related to game code. It simply tried to write the "revealed" status of the map cells outside of the memory that was reserved for the map. VK's 1.05 patch fixed it, and that one got incorporated in my later 1.06 patch.

On that note, a new version of said patch has just been released. The project is now at version 1.06b revision 2
