The EA guys finally released the so promised patch. I don't have a changelog here... and, to be honest, I don't have The First Decade here either since I've never seen it available in any brazilian shop, so I'll go straight to EA APOC's (EALA Community Manager) word on this issue:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Hey everyone,

Today we are officially releasing Patch 1.01 for Command & Conquer The First Decade through direct download on our official site. This patch addresses the missing movies from Command & Conquer: Covert Operations, Red Alert 1, and Red Alert Expansion packs. Head to our official site to download the patch now!

www.commandandconquer.ea.com

Additionally, we are working on addressing the missing music tracks, the Command & Conquer and Red Alert registry issue, and an official path to access the fan favorite Easter Egg Dino Missions,

otherwise known as the Fun Park missions. For those that can’t wait for this update, I’ve actually posted a very simple way to access the Dino Missions Easter Egg on our official message boards.

Link below. I will keep you all posted on the progress.

Lastly, I wanted to remind you that I am finally taking a vacation (phew!), but will be back in the office Monday, April 3rd. You are welcome to private message me, but I cannot guarantee a response while I am out.

However, there will be some development team members on the forums.

Looking forward to talking to all of you soon!

All the best,

APOC"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, this won't be the last patch and all TFD fans will be able to enjoy the movies without any community fix.

And... I hope APOC enjoy his vacations, afterall, everyone needs to rest sometime.

The patch sucks balls. All they do is extract all movies (instead of moving them), effectively adding some 800 MB to the disk space needed by RA1, and about 100 MB to C&C1.

As a comparison... my own batch script to clean up C&C1 does exactly the same and also fixes the CO music, and it actually frees up 35 mb in the process. Or 135 mb if you already used the stupid patch.
