So, yeah. The topic says it all. This is a thread asking what you think are the top five greatest games of all time. Here are mine, in no particular order since they are all just as good:

Deus Ex - Perhaps possibly the best game of all time.
Red Alert - Timeless classic. I still play this regularly.
Sonic 3 - The pinnacle of the Sega Megadrive, and provides me with some of the happiest memories of my childhood.
Unreal Tournament - Fun. The gameplay beats the hell out of most games out there and the AI can put ones from more modern games to shame.
Sim City 2000 - Days wasted to this game. Literally. _________________

Deus Ex - I'm with Clazzy - amazing.
Ristar / Super Fantasy Zone - Amazing games from my time with the Mega Drive
Metroid Series - Because they rock?
Mario / Sonic - True figures of gaming.
Final Fantasy VII - Just because.

Metal gear solid - the game that got me into gaming, i still have an origional PS1. its just a freaking classic.
Final Fantasy VIII - i really dont get why people like VII better, VIII is just so much cooler.
Galactic Civilizations 2 - newest game on this list, only been playing it for a few days but it is absoloutley amazing, very fun and has the hardest non cheating AI i have ever seen.
Phantom Crash - a really overlooked game, very awsome.
Command and conquer Tiberian Dawn - possibly the first RTS i ever played, just has so much awsome, _________________ QUICK_EDIT

final fantasy 6 and 8
War of the worlds*virgin interactive*
sonic the hedgehog 3, when i still lived in france i had many games with some friends, that game was lovingly fast-paced
modded dark colony* i made it a fast-paced slaughterfest with racial differences, one map with an ai as ally was so much fun, it's hordes of troopers were moving about in the dark, and suddenly a scythe demon group appears and slashes them to bits*
Master of orion 2
Total Annihilation
Mech Warrior 2, 4 is pretty nice as well, but 2 was simply better as a mech sim

Aces of The Deep is a historically accurate submarine sim in which you play the commander of a German U-Boat. EXTREMELY good game, excitement, tension, a feeling of continuity, that feeling of triumph when you hit a big ship, and realism combine with a few other elements to produce what is without a doubt one of the best games EVER. Plus, you can't deny the thrill of sneaking past twelve destroyers, surfacing literally in the middle of a convoy, and letting loose with your deck gun. _________________ This mod is dead!

Everyone makes fun of it, it was overly hyped (there was an ad campaign: "John Romero's going to make you his bitch!", people didn't really like that) and was supposed to come out two years before it was actually released. Of course, when it was released it was pretty crap (although I can't actually say I've played it). _________________

X-Com, all genres (maybe except for Enforcer, it kinda sucked, and Inteceptor as I didn't like the space shoot-em up but the strategy part of it was well done.)
Master Of Orion series (never played 3 though), that's definatley on my lists, I love this game.
Of course Command and Conquer Yuri's Revenge. Yuri's army is just the best since sliced bread.
X3: Reunion. Say hello to awesome graphics like Battlestar Galactica.

As far as I'm aware Looking Glass made Thief The Dark Project and The Metal Age - Ion Storm making only Deadly Shadows. I have no idea if Looking Glass was dissolved into Ion Storm however so... QUICK_EDIT

Aaaah, Goldeneye - Awesome game! Oooh! And Super Smash Bros Melee! Damn, Nintendo DO rock (I realise that Nintendo didn't make Goldeneye )
Black, urgh. Never want to play that game - looks boring and graphics don't look that good. Seen the screenshots tht show of the blocky and poor graphics. And seen the gameplay, which looks dull.
