PC Action: About C&C 3.
Subject description: This is the info I've found on german comunity...
The german PC Action has posted (somewhere, don't ask me) their words about the C&C3. I've found this, thanks to C&C HQ. According to them, C&C 3 will possibly continue Tiberian Sun and will have mechs. If you have a good german, read the picture below:
If you don't know german (like me), use google translation:
(note: not reliable, but better than nothing)

"Real time strategy since US the magazine PC Gamer the exposure of a continuation of the popular real time strategy series announced, InterNet forums estimate themselves proper with speculations. We know out well informed circles long more: The third part of COMMANDS & Conquer really is forthcoming. Electronics kind work ELT under the title Tiberian Twilight at a new part of the series. As the name lets assume, the Story is a continuation of Tiberian Sun, which appeared 1999. This time you strike yourselves with Mechs and other munition strongly on the bell. More to it in the next expenditure. "

"Since the US game magazine 'PC Gamer' announced an sequal of the popular C&C tiberian war series, there are masses of speculation on internet boards. we know from, that EA works on an sequal of tiberian sun (released 1999) with the name 'tiberian twilight'. this time you can use mechs and other war machines. more information next issue."
Well... despite the GDI "Gunship" having a worrying symbol relation to RA2 Allies/Generals Americans.. the word "Sequal" gives me hope!
Unless they're just being lazy and actually meant "Prequel" in which case.. bugger.
Although other things I've noted. It says "GDI Orca Gunship". The Orca Project was a development half way through TD, so I don't think it could have been done pre-TD. Also, Tiberium didn't have much presence before TD either, so I doubt it would have been very Tiberium based if it was set before TD.
But even if it is TT... (in one form or another) it has a lot to live up to in my mind. I don't want no half-assed job on this, as I love the Tiberian Storyline.. and I don't want it to be screwed. And for it to truely be part of the Tiberian Universe, it MUST have Kane. No Kane, No CNC.
Something I noted was.. RA was never called CNC2, it was solely reserved for Tiberian Sun. And RA2 or Generals were never called CNC3. I think.. I hope, that its the Tiberian Universe, which is central to CNC, and which is reserved the name.
Well.. we'll have to wait and see how it turns out..
I wonder if we'll see that nice concept tank from TFD. I know it was said that its not-newly made concept, ie, its from one of the old games. But what if it was from concept made for CNC3, just made a while back. _________________ If there is a problem on the forums, PM me. QUICK_EDIT
weird... I was sure the news on CnC source was a fake...
I'm looking forward to this, see what EA makes of c&c (Generals was't c&c for that matter)
BTW, here's a proper translation by myself:

Since the American magazine PC Gamer announced the uncovering of a continuation of the famous RTS series, there have been lots of speculations in internet forums. From well informed sources we know more: it's true that the third Command & Conquer is under development. Under the title Tiberian Twilight, EA develops a new episode of the series. As the title suggests, the story is a continuation of Tiberian Sun, which was released back in 1999. This time, you will combat with Mechs and other war machinery. More information will be available in the next edition.
I wonder if this is something that connects TS and RA2, if it's true it's something before TD. If that's true, that it is before TD, it shouldn't have Nod, at least not as very powerfull, cause if it's before TD, it doesn't have Tiberium, and Nod remain "hidden" untill the appearance of Tiberium. _________________

I hope that NEVER happens. Red Alert 2 is a disturbing mutliation - TD is a dark game not a 'zOMG MIND CONTROLED SQUIDZ' game like Red Alert 2 was. RA to TD is possible but I'd rather see TT. QUICK_EDIT
