1. Tiberium is not a virus. It's a non-carbon based element that can rip-off the structures of other organisms, and replace the damaged structures with their own=mutation. It sucks minerals from ground, and contains them into the crystals. The Blossom Tree doesn't just come from nowhere, it's a mutated tree, that "blows" out Tiberium seeds.
2. Have you thought of why Kane constructed the Scrin Ship? is it either A. He'd fly away with it when Tiberium has done it's job, or B. Use it against GDI (at the end he mentiones about "invulnerable flying ships")?

I never said Tiberium was a virus! GOD! I said what if it TOOK OVER viruses? What if it mutated a virus like, Aids or Cancer, for example, what could that Tiberian Aids or Tiberian Cancer virus do more destructive than it's original carbon-based counterpart? QUICK_EDIT
Tiberium AIDs would probably be obsolete before its existance occured, with mutants you can tell the body itself is severely affected by the tiberium to the extent the crystals erupt from the skin and as such would quite probably result in the tiberium mutation being transmitted sexually.
Same for cancer - why mutate into a cancerous growth when it can already grow on and in human beings anyway? QUICK_EDIT
Aids and Cancer are NOT viruses. HIV is a virus that causes a condition known as Aids. Cancer occurs when dividing cells screw up and become two useless new cells. Sometimes the new useless cells continue to divide to create a tumor.
