Galatic Warfare updates!
Subject description: Human processing center render.
Loki-the-hero has recently posted the newest Titerian building from his mod, Galatic Warfare, the Human Processing Center, that works like a tech center.
For those who doesn't know, Galatic Warfare is a total conversion for Red Alert 2 that brings two new sides in a post apocalyptical scenario. Titerians are the aliens, while GPA is the United Nations force that defends Earth. The story is, of course, much more complex than that.
Anyway, here's a picture of the Human Processing Center:
The GPA has a new comunications facility:
And much more has been posted recently. Browse their forums for more information, specially the GPA renders area, which is one of the most active areas recently. QUICK_EDIT

Stop dissing EA
I don't get it, why is everybody against EA?
< 1st thing: >
Its not EAs fault Westwood studios don't exist, it is not like they took over Westwood by force. I am sorry to say this, but your 'God' (i.e. Westwood) is to blame. The fact is they sold out. Just because somebody opens a door, doesn't mean you have to walk through it - but Westwood did in this case.
< 2nd thing: >
How can you expect a totally different team to produce the 'same' game. Things will change. The C&C community is a cultic game community who takes the original storyline and characters as bible, but like everything (for example the James Bond series) changes when you have a new team with new ideas in charge of its development. You can't just make HG Wells sit down and continue writing the rest of the Lord of the Rings series without it changing.
< 3rd thing. >
Companies will make mistakes, including EA. This is targetted at the C&C 1st Decade comments.
Lets look back on the the history of Valve (the makers of Half Life):
Valve tried to introduce the PowerPlay Internet gaming technology, which I think a big embarassment technically speaking. I suggest you research this.
Nintendo engineer Gunpei Yokoi developed the Virtual Boy (the guy who was basically responsible for Nintendo's success in the gaming industry by designing the GameBoy and working on the SNES). He resigned after the negative feedback, and got hit by a car..., probably because of your parents.
Unlike Kane they are only human.
< 4th thing: >
Yes EA wants the money, who doesn't? They are a business. Just like every other software/publishing company in existance that lasted more then a year, they want and need money. You get a bunch of guys who just want to dedicate there time to fans, and give money out here and there, they are doomed to fail. Its called a budget. Yes, EA could give a car away at an event called BFCon here and there like some other companies . Look up accliams history of stunts to get a fair idea of what other companies have done to get money - much worse then EA.
< 5th thing: >
Although some of you may have the potential (although lacking the business skills) to produce a commercial game, none of you have done better then EA at producing a game, so you really have no right to diss their work from a technical aspect. The software industry is EXTREMLY hard to survive in these days.
In conclusion, stop this nonsense. Its seriously crazy. I really think you guys have to realise that Westwood is the reason why this happened, not EA. EA did close the Westwood studio down, but as I see it, its still Westwoods fault. They let down their fans, they sold the rights, they gave up the dream....
You may delete this message at your will, but I would like to debate this further, as I have much to say about the opinions expressed on this website. QUICK_EDIT

Wrong. Virgin Interactive sold Westwood to EA, WW didn't sell themselves.

They won't, but we'll try our best to ensure they make a C&Cish game.

So we should forgive EA's overworking of staff as a mistake? We should forgive their leaching of money from Sims addons? How about gutting Bullfrog, Westwood and releasing unfinished games then patching them afterwards?

By law they have to make money, but that doesn't mean they should stay on their high horses and leaving various communities high and dry. Westwood greatly valued this community as the game wouldn't be going without it. EA are a company that believes in putting some money and a year of dev time into a game then expecting a big hit to come out. If that doesn't make a good game, they spend millions more on advertising and recoup their losses whilst patching the game to make it worthwhile. EA should learn from Blizzard. They still support their older games and care about their community while still releasing good games.

So what if we haven't tried to beat at making games? Firstly, we make mods for fun and not for money. Secondly, compare this to being a politician. We may not be capable of doing the job well, but we will certainly complain if they don't do a good job and serve their country properly. Finally, we can have an opinion if we so want. If we hate EA's policies and methods, so be it. What you say won't change our minds. What will change our minds will be a U-turn of policy by EA towards something we like. _________________

"Electronic Arts does appear to own the majority of the rights, though, as they have sent cease and desist letters to groups and individuals making unofficial System Shock-based content for various games." - i.e. mods
Its their policy, including their C&C games, to stop this. Most likely why many C&C projects that go beyond a simple mod suddenly stop and go silent. QUICK_EDIT

EA doesn't care about Westwood games to be quite frank. The fan community IS actually the biggest thing from holding this game back, if everyone didn't know by now. If anything APOC (EA Community Manager) would promote the mods, after all, he appreciated the Rock Patch for Yuri's Revenge.
Also, look at the C&C Hall of Fame.
