Color problem

Whats the best way to stop these color glitches from happening when painting textures?

Do you mean the pink spots? you probably used color #0 wich you
SHOULD NOT USE REPEAT SHOULD NOT USE.

do you see any pink spots? it only looks black. maybe you should try some lighter texture color

Pink spots happens either to lack of normals or use of some colour in the edge of the palette. Colours 0-15 and 239-255 shouldn't be used.
