G'day,
Is there anything i can do to have a building reveal the map (on any map) when it is built? Like a GPS?
I know in maps you can set a trigger to do it, any chance a building can be told to do the same?

I believe a large sight range dioesn't work, so it'll have to be done with triggers. You can make the game check wether a certain building has been built and then let it reveal the map. The only problem is that it'll be revealed to all players, not just the owner of the GPS.

I have never tried this before, but it might work:

Trigger:
House:-1 (yes, edit the box and write down -1)

Event: 32 Building exists
Building: Whatever you choose

Action: 16 Reveal all map

Like I said before, I am not sure what results this yields, but it might work. The game is known to accept -1 as 'any' when used for houses.

I assume thats for when createing a map, but I'm makeing a mod and was wondering if i could have a certain building reveal the map.
didnt expect there was a way, worth a try tho Very Happy

Because sight range after a certain range just doesn't work. I think its somewhere around 12 (the max sight range).

I did test a mod when u take over a civllians array u did see the map. I dont rember the tag or the code.

take over = use of triggers, or you wouldve been able to build it yourself

Or you can just put:

SpySat=yes
Radar=yes

Put that on which ever building you want to give it to you. I like the Construction Yard.

But make sure its not the [AMCV] or [SMCV]
