I'm starting a new mod and I need some help, The mod is for C&C RA2YR
I called the mod C&C Warlords The Beginning , I need Ideas and some staff to my mod and I'm looking for a map artist! Sad Plz give me some help! Sad Ah! one more thing, i don't need ideas to the sides i will make in this mod, ok?

so youre saying that there are 2 (or more) random groups of ppl without any history, fighting for no reason with random weapons and tactics, they just started existing and they were already fighting by then.......
keep on dreamin'. a mod needs a story.

WHOA for once I actually agree with Chielscape.

If you don't have a story nobody will bother playing it, maybe if you put the best voxels/weapons/graphics in it, but I doubt that will happen.

This sides are fighting for total domination of one planetary sistem called
Ex-Machina, the myr have more tecnology, the amazon using normal tecnology and the undead horde use the tecnology of humans but the undead have strage units, like armored skeletons, tortured souls and much more, this is all i have to say for now.

Try coming up with something clean, maybe?
A storyline that is good and has content, and add staff positions with information on what you want them to do, and what else.

Yep you need a better story.
First: you're mixing the RA and Tiberian universe that's just wrong.
Second: a insect that gets bigger then transforms in a animal that turns people in zombies? that is so 1960's
Now the story sounds like a bad B-horror movie.

Mixing RA1 story with Tiberian works because they are together, but RA2 is completly out of it and has no connections with the C&C story except the RA name and sides (soviet/allies)

Laughing I have got a new story line Laughing , in year 2006 three strange ships fall of heaven the Electro Union start a investigation with ship one, the soviets and allies get the second and the Omega Legion get the third ship, then this sides get some new tecnology, and a war start to this sides show the better arsenal! The Omega Legion get the Alien Infantry and the Metroid Containement to create Metroids, the Electro union get new tipe of units, new buildings and new superweapons, and the Allies and Soviets, get new tecnology!

@Warlock: There is a considerable difference between private and public mods. Private can have anything, any n00b story, any ugly unit that kills everyone else in one shot, etc... because it's limited to few people and nobody else cares about it.

If you make a public mod, you need to understand that anyone will be able to play it, so you'll need to do something that convinces people to play it.

The story is important, so you can build the universe of your mod, the sides and make the whole thing make sense and look more organized, therefore more convincent.

So, what is this Electro Union? What is Omega Legion? What is Metroid Containment? Why would people fight for these sides? Why every side declares war at the others? What would they gain with it? Would spending million of lives and funds compensate the suposedly new technology that would be aquired in these ships?

Come on, you can develop it.

The Electro Union is a supreme order, was created in Portugal by a man called Rodriguez Costa, Rodriguez create this order to stablish the peace in the world, the Electro Union have advanced tecnology, then Rodriguez found the ship one then start a research with this ship, and get new alien tecnology.
The Omega Legion is a conversion of Yuri Side but more powerfull, Yuri create this legion to conquer the world again, then Yuri start's a research too with the third ship, then Omega Legion is able to create Alien Infantry(all type of infantry) and get new superweapons, but one day the Electro Union found the secret base of Omega Legion and see the Yuri secret plans to conquer the world, and start a new war, then the Allies and the Soviet get the second ship, and get new tecnology, one year later the Soviets and the Allies get some bad news: "The Yuri is alive, and start a new war to conquer again the world", the Electro Union starts a war against the Soviets, Allies and Omega Legion to stablish the peace in the world.

Some new tecnology information: Metroid Containment: The Metroid Containment is a building similar to the normal barracks but to be contructed need a Battle Lab, the Metroid containment can create Metroids, a alien life form can control units like, tanks and soldiers is very strong, the Metroid can detroy a enemy building. Laughing

Look, if you want people to come and help you with your mod, you'll have to shwo some of your good work before that. Code some stuff, make some units/download public ones and start your mod.

You have an idea for a mod, but try and make it appealing and interesting, include the details of your mod in a descriptive and interesting manner and make people want to help you, and I'm sure you will do a lot better. People don't want to join a project where they simply don't know what they are doing.

I somehow doubt CS is talking about his English, unless there was something there you deleted. I've seen native English speakers with MUCH (MUCH) worse English.

Anyways.. it's a (semi) good storyline, but you'll need to show some work before you get help. Look at TO. It started out as a concept, no real work, and Morpher was a n00b. (two-three topics about how to get spinning rot0rs in TS at TumSun) Then he started some work on it, showed some progress (albiet mostly c&p, but progress), eventually people joined.

Personally, I'd just completely start from scratch with something completely new, like something like Unreal Tournament.

'You've been selected to be a commander in a war game & stuff.' Create some names, make up a few units, recolor a few buildings & give 'em to both sides. There, you've got a mod. Very Happy

Not a TO or Exodus-quality mod, but a decent mod nevertheless.
