And it definitelly makes a great difference. Also according to the same GDI operatives, the Spike TV was well paid by Nod agents to only shows what matters for them making GDI look like terrorists. Here's what they said:

SPIKE TV cut out the 1st half of the trailer for some reason, so make sure you see the full cut online and when it goes live everywhere this week, including our official site (go there for the best resolution ). So I'm not insane! My guess is that EA wants to have a little Generals in CnC3, and the only way to do that without out any complaints is to have it as random eye candy.
My only issues with this is Generals took place 4 years after the events of TD. And I highly doubt a crappy ass GLA tank could withstand 40 years of all the crap that Tiberium as done to the earth. QUICK_EDIT

Two Wrecked Scorpion Tanks (t3h GLA light tank)

I still think it's random wreckage, I mean it's obviously eroded quite a bit. Not as much as you'd expect in thirty years, but it's good enough for me. I'm absolutly amazed at how good this game looks, especially compared to Generals. This is by far the best looking game I've ever seen, Supreme Commander doesn't even compare... QUICK_EDIT

I think the 'medium tank' you see is a civilian wrecked car, my guess anyway. Well die die EA for wasting time to redo generals units. It does look good though, the bottom of the tracks buryed in sand QUICK_EDIT
