Visit this place or a good mirror at C&C Infiltration to watch the Command & Conquer 3 gameplay demonstration made by one EA developper and APOC. APOC was playing Nod and he was.. nah! I won't spoil it.

The video shows the sidebar, which is simply perfect. You can control the production of any of your factories anywhere. There are 5 tabs (Base Structures, Military/Defense Structure, Infantry, Vehicles and Aircrafts) that make it organized and a tab inside them for each factory (barracks, construction yard, war factory or airfield) that you have, which is a great idea. Unlike old games, it uses transparency effects to increase the visible battlefield area.

And you can also see some battles between GDI and Nod, with stealth tanks attacking the power plants in the north, flame tanks wiping the ass out of the infantry (they are quite strong in this demo), engineers in carryalls and much more.

Other spotlighted units in this video are the mammoth tank, predator tank, orcas and others.

There were some articles on GameSpot and other places, but let's get honest here.... if you see this video and read the contents of the new official C&C 3 site, there is no read to waste your time reading that articles. Enjoy it!

I'm only half way through it I have to say, I'm liking every aspect of this game. I'm actually liking the squads better than the micro managed way of the old CnC. And that Sidebar kicks the crap out of all side/bottom bars before it.

Must finish watching, even on DSL 15 minute movies take forever to load...

I finished it, Vertigos FTW! I like that stealthing effect, it suits the time period well. Everything is still a little unbalanced, but I'm not hating anything about this.

Peace through power!

I am liking the way its shaping up. I am liking the way the gameplay is taking form. Carry-Mosts are the pretty sweet actually..

Damn him for not upgrading his Mammoth's to railguns!

A noticed the Tiberium Refinery left some tiberium when destroyed, something someone asked before.

I love the stealth effects, pretty sweet. And the Nod War Factory, kind of a style of underground structuring (Completely unlike the Helipad #Tongue, Man, I think you could hit that thing miles away.. but still, very cool!)
I'd love to see the animation for that war factory, units coming up on a lift, or something. That would rock.

I tried to see the other defense structure icons in the sidebar, but I couldn't quite make it out. I'm not sure, but I think the first one is either some kind of component tower/TD style turret.. but at least there is more than the watch tower Wink.

And, interesting how the Armoury is now the Tech Centre?

Also, I'm pretty sure the GDI Harvester is armed. When you see it docking and then docked, you can see something on its back twirl, as if its the turret scouting for targets.

Obelisk rocks.. Very Happy

the flame tanks are simply magificent.
i love the fact they changed the infantry to squad based like company of heros and dawn of war.and also the cover mode as well.those medium tanks actauly made short work out of those flame tanks,no problem, and the detail to the explosions are like a piece of art.just like in generals.
did any one notice the building effects when destroyed for example the hand of NOD,when it was destroyed, the hand droped the globe lol.i guess they are going back to the trade marked hand with the globe.

what i dislike is the missile aprearence when fired, whats with the glowing circle thingy.it was bad enough seeing it in generals, but in cnc:3,i dont think so lol.

great video, the effects look great and the detail is amazing! did u see those light effects on those buildings, dang thats cool!
and indeed i was supriced myself when i got to see the war factory, wonder how thats works.

the squads look like a good thing, that way u atleast have an army of infantry on the battlefield, 8 men squads if i'm correct 4 for rockets.
and like the engineer some units wont be in squads.

the stanks are back but we knew that already, but what a comeback! totaly hit and run units!
that "light" tank looks weard tho, it just makes no sence to me lol.

I love the concept of Hit-and-Run tactics, and this time you can really pull it off! Very Happy

And yeah, the effects are brilliant. Except for perhaps as you mentioned, Friday, the glowy rockets.
And the huge mass of particles in really heavy gunfights, but then.. I guess it is more realistic, even if you can't see a damn thing! #Tongue

And the flame effects just rock!

I like the use of squads now, more useful in my opinion, especially when you can deploy them against objects and the like.

Overall, its really shaping up nicely, and a thoroughly enjoyable video. I'm getting all excited again! Very Happy
