I have a small question: Whats the difference between Gas and WeakGas?
I know it has something to do with the gasclouds systems used by the normal tiberium gas cloud and the floater gas cloud.

I have noticed something: if you use the
Code:
BehavesLike=Gas
on a particle system and an attached gas cloud, the cloud is a big gas cloud (Cloud1), and does damage.
But if you use
Code:
BehavesLike=WeakGas
on a particle system and an attached gas cloud, the cloud is a small gas cloud (Cloud2), and does no damage!
Note: the Image= tag seems to be overwritten by the BehavesLike= tag.

Is this the only difference, and if so, how to make a small gas cloud do damage?

Simple. Find the WeakGas entry in rules.ini and edit it. There was a tag that says (i think) damage=.
Edit the damage=0 to damage=100 if you want it to do 100 damage. (or whatever number you want it to do damage)

Thats the problem. If i use weakgas, it does zero damage, no matter how high the damage is.

perhaps there's something about the inaccuration of the gas clouds, like the big gas cloud, you must get it just the correct way on top your unit so it does damage. Perhaps you didn't have the cloud in correct position, or something...

What exaclty is your problem, if you want it to do damage use behaveslike=gas and give it a damage value, otherwise use behaveslike=gas and dont...

Is my question really that difficult to understand Confused

Anyway, here's an example:

You all know that the Tiberium Floater uses small gas clouds to move. I have looked at his gas cloud code, and it says WeakGas

The Damage tag says it does some damage, and the attached warhead says that the gas cloud is only lethal vs infantry. But if you put an infantry in the gas cloud, it does zero damage.

But if i change all the WeakGas into Gas, and don't change the Damage tag, then it does damage vs infantry (and all other armors)

Looks like you solved it already, I think.

For your information, the default "warhead" for the Floater's puffing is Gas. Look under the [PARTICLES] section and you'll find the warhead there.

Who did you want selectively take damage, actually? Infantry? Armor? Or both? If infantry only, use the WeakGas warhead. But do note the fact that not all infantry wear no armor by default. (e.g.: Jmpjet Infatry, Cyborgs and the Ghost Stalker wear light armor).
